I think WURM online has farming. I never played it, but my ex did. Looks kinda cool though.
"Never met a pack of humans that were any different. Look at the idiots that get elected every couple of years. You really consider those guys more mature than us? The only difference between us and them is, when they gank some noobs and take their stuff, the noobs actually die." - Madimorga
It's unfortunately still in beta, but Linkrealms has a great farming system. Even though the game uses an isometric view I think it's going to surprise a lot of old school MMORPG players.
I'd highly recommend checking their website every once in awhile as they open up spots at random times. In addition if you download the client, it includes the Linkrealms Map Editor which allows you to design your own realms that can eventually be uploaded into the game when you do get in. You won't be able to do any farming with the just the Editor, but it's unbelieveable what can actually be created using the tools they give you.
"Mr. Rothstein, your people never will understand... the way it works out here. You're all just our guests. But you act like you're at home. Let me tell you something, partner. You ain't home. But that's where we're gonna send you if it harelips the governor." - Pat Webb
