I am a long time EVE player (over 3 years) and I'm looking for something similar but different and from reading the forums this game could potentially be it.
Take the good elements of a game like EVE , single shard, skill upgrading by time not grind, etc etc - and add a new twist, the Robots.
Will Perpetuum have a place for solo players ? I like to have a character who creates as well as destroys . Specialist crafting, manufacturing of weapons, ships etc is something that I enjoy in a game (PLUS the ability to blow things/npc's to pieces when I need stress relief )
I would welcome any comments from beta players on the 'soloability' of the game and on crafting/manufacturing.
Best wishes - Ozzie

It is in beta, lots of core content is missing and as the game is now, there is little to do for groups, even less for a solo player.
Guessing how the game will look like at release would be very premature judgment.
Did you play EVE solo? I would say this game compares to it when It come to solo play. But hard to state anything concreete since it is still closed beta. But open beta is not far off.
EVE Online and Perpetuum Online core mechanics are way different to be compared.
If you still do so, you have to think about EVE at release, quite a different game as it is now.
Thanks for the replies guys. This game certainly is one I'm interested in. Hopefully, I'll learn a lot more when the open beta comes around.
I've registered for info, newsletters etc and I'll be keeping a close eye on this forum.
Thanks again - Ozzie
Very true they are different mechanics. But I was trying to give him an idea. And you are right if you do compare them, you have to think of EVE when it first released.
Ozzie,
Watch my blog for information too. http://gremrod.wordpress.com lots of videos there too.
Many thanks Gremrod - will do. If it is like early EVE that would be great as EVE has developed over time. If Avatar Creations are as smart as CCP the game will develop driven by the requirements of the players which would be EXCELLENT.
Thanks again - and I've already been to the blog, good work, TYVM. Ozzie
