Well Guild Wars isn't out yet, but they are different games. GW is more of you log on form a group and go do that in a seperate (instance). WoW is more open in respect that you can solo and do various other things. I could be wrong though!

You can't compare these two things! In guild wars you start in a lobby, then go with 8 (or 16 im not sure) people into the world. They are totally different games! Plus, Guild Wars isn't even out yet! I'm gunna buy GW (already got WoW) and maybe play both. WoW and GW are fun, but you can't compare them!
Personally, I think WoW has been a MAJOR disappointment. Server issues and customer service will be the real killer of the game. When Guild Wars comes out in April I'm going to play both and keep the one that is more reliable. I've been playing WoW since release day and I'm looking forward to the Guild Wars Release.
I've played a few of the public beta weekend things for Guild Wars and really enjoyed them. I am also hopelessly addicted to WoW. That being said, they really are two different game types.
Many people in WoW play solo. When I play WoW, I'll often join up with one or two other people in the area to complete a quest, but then we tend to go our seperate ways. This isn't in every case -- there are a few people I've met online who we group together pretty much when we're online at the same time, but most people play solo most of the time.
Guild Wars really reminds me of a fantasy-based, and much improved, Phantasy Star Online. If you ever played Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast (or any of the other later sysyems) the gameplay is very similar. For you to partake in most quests, you have to have a group. They do provide npc characters that you can add to your group, so theoretically you could play solo, but you'd be missing the point of the game.
When Guild Wars is released, I'll probably pick it up just because there won't be an extra monthly fee and it'll give me something to play when the WoW servers are messed up (which has been pretty frequently lately). Both games are fun and don't require a monster PC to run.
Yes it is!...... it doesn't crash every 10 minutes like WoW does. It is also made by the team of programmers that used to work for Blizzard. When they left blizzard that's when Blizzard became incompetent!
Cancelled WoW to never come back and will surely try Guild Wars. Why waste time on boring grinding (no matter how easy it is) it is still a grind or sewing a skirt. I want to get in the PvP action and beat or get beat up.

This question is like asking if an sandwich is better then a car. The answer to that depends on what you want or need.
I had thought the forums here were a bit higher grade then these posts that are looking for trolls. I guess I was wrong again
