An interesting thread has popped up on the official Age of Conan forums that alludes to the possibility of new fatalities being earned through instance drops and the alternate advancement system.
Lidsman on the official AoC forums:
That is correct OP, you gain new fatalities throu AA combos/spells and the combos/spells that drops from instance bosses.
Certainly sounds interesting, but we can't confirm this either way at the moment. We'll definitely be looking to find out!

Some of the fatalites are sick, twisted, immoral and just plain wrong.
I love them.
Favorite one so far is for the two-handed edged. My barbarian runs the sword through the enemy's head, wrenches it off its body, then with his right foot pushes the head off the blade.

My one edged favorite fatality is when i stab it in an enemies chest and twist it, then use my other hand to slide the dead carcass off the end of the blade. It's nice and fast and fluid and doesn't interrupt my game.

Love my conq's dual wield fatality that I spin with my blades out, then the body sits there for 2-3 seconds then the head falls off, then the body falls over. Just something about it...
HoX eating hearts are pretty awesome too.
