in Everquest II
I am upgrading my computer before I purchase this game. If I go with an Athlon 64 3200, 1GB ram and 256 GeFore 6800, will this game run lag free??
I played SWG and learned to hate lag. My friend upgraded his system to this and no runs through the crowed streets of SWG with little lag. Will this work with EQ II??
If not what would you suggest?? Be minded I am on a budget and although I would love 2 GForce 6800's Ultras and an FX-55 Processor I won't pay that much.

Thats almost my exact system; I have an AMD 64 3400+, 2gb of Kingston HyperX ram, and a 256mb Geforce 6800 Ultra. You should be fine I'd think.

I played EQ2 on a 2.8Mhz Athlon, 1GB Ram and an old overclocked 128mb Radeon 9500 Pro running at 9700 stock speeds. As long as I turned shadows off I was able to run the game at high settings, so you should have no problems with your current setup. For all its faults, EQ2 is a very beautiful game - hope you enjoy it as much I did.
