Finally an indie MMO that keeps the customers updated on whats going on with their game... Gotta lo

I have to say, I am very pleased so far with how the Xsyon developers are keeping us (the customers) updated with what they are doing.  Every day that I jump on the forum after work, there are multiple posts from the developers on what is going on.  They are even developing the game over the weekend, while most other indie developers take the time off (like Mortal Online devs taking the entire 2 weeks of Christmas vacation)

After following the disaster called Mortal Online for 8 months, I have to say this is really refreshing.  I have to applaud the Xsyon developers on the great job they have done so far...

    It must be since you bash MO constantly for planning on releasing their game half- finished and buggy. Not bashing Xsyon for the same thing would be hypocritical.....

    So is their strategy to release the game when it is complete? You didn't answer my question.

     

    Please explain their strategy to me. Will the game be released before it is complete or not?

    How do I know?  As long as I am seeing progress with the game being developed, I will stick with it. 

    Like I said in the OP... this is the only indie company I have seen that is constantly keeping the customers updated with updates on almost a daily basis....

    looting from players won't no. Can't remmeber about NPCs don't think so. Animals will contain objects that they stole from people they killed if i remember correctly.

     

    MMOs are never complete :)

    When is Xsyon's release date again? How complete is the game? Surely you can answer that.

     

    Edit: Ah, gotcha. As long as the developers keep the playerbase updated, it doesn't matter how unfinished the game is at release. No hypocrasy there at all.

    @ sevitoth: The game will not be released in an unfinished state so there is nothing to worry about that.

     

    No clue why that is bolded can't unbold it, I'm not yelling :)

    What ive seen he mentioned that it is top, that an indie company is so open with information. If i think about Darkfall where there were almost for several months no updates at all and still now you get barely info out of devs. If i think about their newest "community communication post" ive have to laugh if i see how Xsyon devs are communicating. I have to say aswell that such communication deserves recognition as the most companys suck at it.

    rlmccoy1987, you reap what you reap what you sow; get used to it for the nonsense you piled on at the MO forum.

     

    I've been satisifed with the Xsyon updates that do come in quickly and attentively.   Even while being in-game on Sunday, there was not only interaction and feedback, but a server whipe with another update.

     

    Community communication and interaction has been spot-on with the Xsyon group.  I continue to be optimistic that they'll build as intended and not cater to one camp over another.
