First computer I ever used, when I started gaming a few months before I turned 4 in 1980, was the Commodore VIC-20, then the Commodore 64 in 1982; and various consols and PC for the last 30 years.

While my granny had a greenscreen Apple II I played Carmen Sandiego on all the time, *my* first computer was an IBM PS/2. To this day I still have nightmares of the 1500$ monstrosity I begged for and never enjoyed.

But, did you know, Microsoft Windows was supposed to have been put on Commodore computers, but talks or something broke down and Windows went on every other companies PCs and Commodore was left out in the cold.

Started on the Speccy 48k. First PC I owned had a Cyrix 133mhz cpu, a 1.1gb  hdd and, if memory serves, a 3dfx gfx card.

My first ever computer was an Amstrad PC 1512:

    5 1/4 floppy disk (2 of them, drive A and drive B)

    No hard drive

CGA graphics card: that means it had 4 colors, white, blue, red, black.,

Ram memory 512kb,  thats is for the ones not knowing, half a megabyte.

Processor at 7.5 mhz, for the ones not knowing, today computers run at 2,000 - 4,000 mhz.(2 -4 ghz)

No sound card at all, just a beeper, but it had volume control for it :)

I have it stored in wardrobe, last time i checked, it still ran perfectly.
