Problems with patcher...help?

jaiceafjaiceaf Member Posts: 46
Heya all, I wanted to try this game to take a break from the current lack of enthralling MMORPGS since I quit EQ1 back in the day. I enjoy playing magic the gathering so I thought to give it a try. My issue is the patcher gets stuck at what i think is the last file its called world-equip data....any ideas?

    A few questions:

Is it is in game or just after you log in?

How long have you been letting it sit? Some files take a bit to download so it may look like its stuck.

If you still run into issues, there is a help button in game and one on the load in screen. Also check to make sure your PC isn't blocking the program in the background for any reason.

Well, I am running Vista. The issue occurs when launching the patcher in an attempt to log in to the game. The patcher downloaded every other file in no time, but I've let it sit for 5 minutes on a/world-data equipment.wad and it doesnt move.I have tried running in admin mode and that didn't work either. Ive never had any issues with other online games.

I suggest writing to the Kings Isle customer service team to see if they could help. Have you tried uninstalling Wizard101 and reinstalling? Also check that your anti-virus or firewall isn't blocking it behind the scenes.

Sorry for not seeing this sooner, young Wizards.

We have the technical support you need, but we just need a little more information from you.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding game or account matters, please send an email to: support@wizard101.com. Please include your account username and a DxDiag.

A DxDiag is a utility designed to display the specifications of your computer's hardware, as well as to test DirectX software, including sound and video. If you are asked for this information, it helps the support group relate your gaming issue to your personal computer.

To create a dxdiag.txt just go to Start -> Run (or Search in Vista) and enter dxdiag and click OK. Once the program has run its course, click "Save all Information" and it will output a txt file that you can attach to your email.
