Man, people just do not read the article they are commenting on anymore.
Gazillion's deal with Marvel was ALWAYS Super Hero Squad first then Marvel Universe.
Kids between 5 and 10 shouldn't be playing MMOs in the first place. They should be outside playing soccer, riding bikes, eating sand, climbing trees, making friends, reading books, etc. Maybe once they learn a bit about the world in which they actually live they can explore online worlds.
And yes, I'm a parent.
And those parents who WANT to defend their 5-10 yr old children playing games? You're lazy. Pure and simple. Stop playing YOUR MMO for an hour and go play with your kids.
Somehow I feel that this game will be better than both Champions Online and DC Universe Online.
Good news for the kids, bummer for the non-kids.
Scary enough, I had the exact same thought as soon as I read the article.
It would most likely be more fun then both of them also; sometimes the kid’s games can surprise you if you take the time to play them for a little while. Take Wizards101 as an example, it actually kept me interested for a number of weeks.

I agree. I would go so far as to say that kids 12 and under shouldn't be playing MMOs if not simply because they need to get out and excersize and not replace social interaction with cyber interaction, but also because the internet, especially online games, is about the worst influence a developing child could have.
So any words on the Marvel Heroes Online MMO? Can we expect something a little more mature in the future?
Check Gazillion website.. There's still mention of Marvel Universe which will be the "mature" release competing for the super hero MMO branch with CoH, CO and DCUO...
Think it's a good thing they release some lower hype games like Lego Universe ans Marvel Super Hero Squad Online to get on track, make some errors and the way to correct it... Get some experience on the MMO field in order to come up with a real good game for Marvel Universe.

Something different and aimmed for kids, at least it's not a McDonalds MMO.
