avatar sizes

I was reading descriptions of other dreamers last night and something hit me.  Would it be possible to physically change the height and wieght of our avatars.

If there could be a set minimum, which would be for example slightly shorter and thiner than the UL avatars, so people aren't making themselves so small they become near immpossible to hit.  In fact, the "hit area" on the avatar would remain the same size so toying with the hieght and wieght is just an asthetic feature.  That way you could see the tall and bulky GateKeeper standing next to the tiny and frail DreamSeer, standing next to the short and pudgy FateSender, standing next to the average size SoulMaster.

....and life goes on

I like this idea, you should probably be able to set height and weight independent of each other though like in Anarchy Online. This would allow for more customization. I definitely think you should be able to customize your avatar's height and build though, you should be able to change it after you've set it with fatesender arts even if tis just temporary.

This is something that I would consider to be necessary. One of my biggest complaints with UL was that everyone looked the same. This was okay when UL first came out, but now it would be really bad not to imclude this feature.

We need to be able to make our Avatars look different. Be that Size/Shape, Hair, Facial structure, etc. I really want to see clothing as well.

Agian, I point to the ever so WONDERFUL creation system City of Heroes had.

You could alter height with a slider to ANY degree within two fixed limits.  AO, it had only 3 heights, tall medium and short.

And you could alter the beefiness of the frame agian with a slider within the two fixed limits making the combinations between the two limitless.  IN AO, you had a total of 9 possible frames for each race.

Because only someone as deranged as me would have a rubber chicken Named Alfredo Sanchez

Even if we couldn't change avatars a whole lot, it would be fun if we could at least change them enough like you can on Sims (just using this as an example).

you know i sometime wonder if the avatar customization woudl have been in UL what type of characters and role play it would have started and went on for a long time.

For example when someone got bit by tehthu, on those rare occaision their avatar could have had their shadow removed, wouldn't it be weird you walk around you have your shadow and you meet your friend that had an encounter with tehthu and their shadow is gone?

Or for another example Gray Mouser... i wonder what his character would have looked liked. hehe Fafhrd i can surely say he would have been pimping. Wraith and his grey skin wonder if he would have looked like Zoro or something :-)

All i am saying is if you are going to put in custom character options. You should spend alot of time to make sure it is done right, to make sure when the game gets out that it will be the best. Since alot of people start to play a game can tell you from the start at the character creation if the game will be good or if it will be a flop.
