Edit... added TL:DR "Game forces pvp on low level players in zone where high level players run around ganking you, forced to spend half of play time waiting for death penalty or spend money in cash shop".
You will reach level 23 and have nowhere to go besides a pvp area called holy lands. The first zone in this pvp area is home to a major level 40 raid instance.
Your time will be spent as follows...
Collect quests, set out to first quest objective 2 minutes transit.
Begin completing objective, 1 minute play time,
Get one shoted by max level player of opposing faction.
Go to purgatory, wait 1 minute.
Respawn with fear of death, wait 2 minutes.
Return to quest objective 2 minutes transit.
Begin completing objective, 1 minute play time.
Get one shoted by max level player of opposing faction.
Spend 1 minute in purgatory.
Spend 2 minutes while waiting for fear of death to wear off complaining in zone chat.
Someone tells you you need to be in a group. It's much better in a group!
Spend ten minutes putting a group together.
set out to first objective, 2 minutes transit.
Begin completing objective 1 minute playtime.
Your entire group is wiped out my a max level player of opposing faction.
1 min purgatory.
while waiting for fod, you inform zone chat that being in a group didn't help much, and your sick of spending 60% of your game time afk.
Read as someone tells you that it gets "Much better" after you leave this particular zone, and if you don't want to wait for purgatory and fear of death, you can always go to the cash shop.
[Mod Edit]
Since a mod edited this post, and since this post is now much friendlier to the game than the original post, I the original poster no longer claim credit for this post, and all credit for this post should be directed to the mod that edited it. Yay capitolism. We can always trust capitolism to bring us freedom of speech. Or not...

Step 1: Spend 3 seconds looking at your surroundings making sure there aren't any high levels coming.
Step 2: ?????
Step 3: PROFIT!!!
Step 4: L2Spell 'wasted'.
Just because you experienced it that way, doesn't mean other people will.
Since when is Tuesday a direction?
No he is right, for the most part thats how it goes! Which is why i and most of my friends DO NOT play Allods anymore, but then again what more can you expect from f2p communities full of kids/teens.
Mmmm no he's pretty dead on with the description, I beta'd the dumb game trust me it's pretty darn worthless these days It USED to be fairly decent before FOD but...now...it's utter horse ****
Step 1: Don't play on a pvp server.
Step 2: If there is no PVE Server, uninstall if you don't want to play on a pvp server.
If you weren't happy with the product you could always get your money back. Oh wait, it's free!
I think that goes for ANY MMO. Pretend to be a RL girl and people will want not only want to help you, but give you stuff as well. Pretty sad
HI FRIEND, allods is my life and/or I receive monthly pay to bash ppl who dont like ze game for what it is and/or I am part of or know the developers etcetc
Did you even read his post coz you seem to be commenting something completely different... too many forums to lurk I guess, copypaste is your friend apparently. Rubbish game is rubbish. What do ppl expect from F2P, really?
Lager's absolutely right.
The first zone in the Holy Lands, Asee-Tep, more or less is a proving ground. Either a player will group, find a good guild to quest with, or ragequit as the OP did. And yeah, at times it can be frustrating. But patience will pay off. And the zone after it, Eljune, isn't nearly as bad as far as ganking goes. I was able to quest there in relative peace, only getting ganked a few times by high level players.
Also keep in mind that Asee-Tep is the first PvP zone, and serves as an outlet for PvP starved players who has had nothing to do up to that point but PvE.
Can't understand why people try and play Free To Play games, even if you have no money, their just bad !
this game isnt dead yet ? i quit months ago there isnt shit to fdo at 40 untill you make your ship 33 days later and still that sux not to mention the worst forced cash shop in mmo history
This game is going to be around for a while. Ignoring the cash shop and fod, this game is one of the best FTP mmos out there. Besides, they are already working on how to improve it, as well as new expansions. Trust me, there will be stuff to do in the game.

Did you guys forget that this is still in Beta. You are the same guys who said that WoW or Warhammer wasn't going to make it, look NOW. What is the difference if you pay monthly or buy gold for the Item Shop? There ISN'T! It all comes out to be the same. I have been playing WoW since Beta and I like it alot but I also like Allods alot also. What you need to do is stop playing MMO games and stick to something your level like Mario Brothers. Give this game a few more months to a year and you will be the ones to say that Allods is the best game ever. So, you need to stop playing or give it a chance.
This game is not bad but for me it lacks something (I would like to see there f.e. fishing, cooking), fod can be annoying, theywant to implement cursed items (when you die/ kill raid boss there is chance that some of your/ dropped stuff will get cursedand it will lower your stats instead of increasing it and the only way to remove it are scrolls from cash shop), but it is still quitenew game so we must wait some time to see how it will be develope.
The game is ok up to a point quests when you leave the starting area the drop rate on simple quests are horrible you can spend 3 hours trying to get 4 items they really need to change that, its too much grind i fall asleep killing a million ticks its almost enough to make me stop playing.
I only encountered that problem once, and that was with the bag quest. This problem was easily fixed by joining a raid (apparently the more people there are in a raid, the higher the drop rates of quest items are)

I suppose you are bashing here, what you did changed accounts and defended yourself? Or called a friend to do it because you can't do it by yourself? Pathetic looser.
Another post where you make little sense... your first one got deleted. So how about you get a clue and actually comment on OP or hey even better, just stay out.
Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of trying it, but I've had much more than my fill of ganking games. Its too bad, as it looks like fun. I really wonder about imports that can't understand that the western demographics tend to niche forced PvP games. Oh well.
The mods on this board actually edited out the last part of my post, which was basiclly the part where I explained how I went into the programs and settings menu of the control panel on my operating system and initiated a certain action that may or may not releate to Allods Online files that where stored on my computer.
I guess Gpotato must be a big advertiser here ....
At least they didn't delete and lock the thread.

The game has some awesome graphics and the quest line is pretty good, but PVP is not my thing so I dropped and deleted, I cannot understand why devs screw up games by making them just PVP? Be smart devs create PVE servers and PVP servers and you will get a lot of money from people like me, old, casual players that pick up games just to have some fun, some adventure, blast few mobs and pick up some materials, do some crafting and couple of hours later turn off the computer until next day when we comeback from work, I wrote to the devs of ALLODS until my fingers hurt, the basic answer was... Go to hell and play another game this is a PVP game, so I assume the devs must be some teenagers who dont have nothing else to do.

Well, a fool and their profits are soon parted . Even Eve online has had to admit(much to their disgust... ^^) that well more than half of their player base stays in high sec and seldom if ever leaves. Thats why to protect their business model, they have evolved Concord into what it is today, and established the ROE for high sec.
If these Dev's want to leave all of that money on the table, thats up to them. Its a shame as the game looks like fun, but there are almost countless other games out there to play.
I even went to the point of opening a topic at their forum asking the devs why and asking to reconsider for us the old players, we had some good posts and some childish teenager crap about thsi is PVP old man etc, after almost 4 pages of posts the topic was misteriously deleted without any explanation or even a warning.

Usually when that happens, either there are trigger happy CM's or some such to blame. Its too bad they have such an inflexible perspective. But I've seen that a lot with imports. Far too many people can not understand the difference in the player demographics in the west, and end up dropping their game into a niche, when it could have had a wider appeal, and thus be more profitable if they took a wiser approach. Oh well, it would hardly be the first such game to suffer that fate.
Maybe I am wrong, but hitting some mobs auto raises your flag, there are war banners, so you can be ganked (but you see them on map so you can avoid them). Imo there should be some restriciton in pvp (like you can not attack players x lvls below you)
