Rolled a Kanian Paladin, did all the quests on starting island, made it to Novograd.
Now I can't get back to the starting island to help my GF with quests?
I have an adventurer's stone, but the only place it will take me is some "Astral Atoll" zone, and the only ways off are a ship and a teleporter, both to Novograd.
Is this intentional? What good is a guild if the higher levels can't TRAVEL to a lowbie to help out?
confused,

One man, a small pile of money, and the screwball idea of a DIY Indie MMORPG? Yep, that's him. ~sigh~

thank god for not having higher lvls there its crowded there as it is.
You're lost on that isle. You want to get off there to Novograd and never go back. Any high level in this zone would ruin the atmosphere there! And the mage at the end will not want anyone to come back and disturb him in his freedom.
Is there a survivors quartermaster off the island at least?
no, there is not
if you want to help your GF, on Evermeet Isle, then roll a new toon.
There is nothing there for any one above levels 5 any ways, unless you just want to kill the majastic Deer and the Troll, and do the daily treasure
if you're looking for a survivors quartermaster then that sounds more like you left accidentally and now you want to get back to finish it
learn to read quests
if you want to help someone just roll a new toon, takes like 30mins to get to lvl 7
Same thing happened to me,and i was pissed.Live and learn i guess.
Why are you confused? Its a story game. Its not a virtual world. Perhaps you shouldnt treat it like one and instead just do what the game tells you too. Switch off your brain and you will feel less confused
There IS a quatermaster - a Gibberling family in the main quest hub (Survivors' Camp)
This is common for a lot of games. It is a feature provided as a service to the new players of a game. I know you wanted to help your GF but once you leave these areas thats it for that partcular character. Even if you had the best intentions this is a safety feature to prevent others from going back for the wrong reasons. You had only good intentions to help other players which is very comendable on your part. If everyone was able to go back to the starter areas there would be some players that would abuse this feature. It could be used by some players to pick on the new players and it was put in place to prevent that abuse. The games that don't have this safeguard usually have other features in the game to prevent high levels from picking on new players. Like special servers for new players that prevents PvP or when you go outside of towns you and your teammates get a personal copy of the outside areas.
The answer to your question about what's the use of a guild if they can't get to a lowbie to help out?
There is plenty of use for a guild. Higher levels can still give lowbies advice and suggestions until they get through the starter areas then they can meet up with them to start helping them from that point on. Plus this gives the new player some confidence that they can actually play the game. If you were able to meet up with a new player from the very start. This may give the new player the feeling that they couldn't play the game without you being there every time they want to play the game. At some point they need to be able to walk on their own. Even if its for just a little while.
The intro area is pretty easy lots of people to group with and get things done.
The magic # for the Leaves is 20
Do all quests except for the one for the leaves collect up 20 of them then turn it in and you'll get Respected if you've done the rest of the quests. Just don't leave before getting your gear.
