Based on the recent announcement of The Old Republic's first non-human race, MMORPG.com's Michael Bitton kicks off a series that examines what some of the other possibilities might be.
Last week we examined seven races we’d like to see in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and the likelihood of them making it into the game. This week, we continue the series with part two as we take a look at yet another seven races. Discussion of last week’s article generated numerous race suggestions, many of which were also on my original list. Read below to find out which ones made the cut in part two!
Feeorin
The Feeorin are a highly tempermental reptilian race who mostly settled on Odryn following the destruction of their homeworld thousands of years preceding the events of the prequel trilogy. The Sanctum of the Exalted on Odryn was the holiest place for the Feeorin race, which the Feeorin made available to the Jedi Covenant prior to the events of The Old Republic as a storage facility for ancient Sith artifacts.

The one race I want to play most is Twi'lek, female Twi'leks are sexy and gorgeous, they are very likely to make it in as a playable race since they are a fan favourite.
Kaleesh would be a cool choice since I loved Generial Grievous. =D
Check back next week, and you may see them on the final list!
miraluka I don't think will be on the game, it was mentioned in Kotor 2, visas was most likely be the last miraluka alive, and they home planet was destroyed by the sith
Clearly this is untrue, Jerec was a Miraluka and the Jedi Knight series took place way after the events of KOTOR 2.
I like how these go down the path less obvious, usually.
I kill other players because they're smarter than AI, sometimes.
As you point out, Mandos are more a culture or faction than a race. TBH I don't see it.
I'd think Nautolans would be more likely than Feeorins. IMO they are better known, and how many races with headtail-like looking things are they going to have?
I would like to see the Cathar added to the list, every game needs a cat-like species, and maybe the Taung .. who were Mandalorians
Mandalorians btw were made up of several species and not a species of their own
Cathar were in the first article. And yes, I mention this about Mandaloarians in this piece.
read the entire article, not just sub titles...
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. A. Einstein
I digress, i'm at work so didn't read through the whole thing , i just read the names of the races .. point taken
although, i would still like to see the Taung and maybe whatever sith/human hybrid Naga Sadow was as possible playable races
I'm of the camp that likes the Nautolan and want to see them in the game.
Dem a bod mon dere. Ah fait wit joo. Ja mon.
Yay for more speculation and an article that has no facts in it about the actual game to drive up more hype! ...seriously?
I needs me some Ithorian.
Aye, same. If I can't get my Togruta, Nautolan would are a pretty awesome alternative. I just hope they don't saddle us with a ton of near humans, as that'd feel like a bit of a copout.
That's a race I like and would want to play.

Respect your roots, man!
Would love to see Nautolan's as a playable race, probs my fav race from SW universe.
She was the last survivor of that particular Miraluka colony, not the last survivor of her entire race.
Also, does anyone else think that "Kit Fisto" is the most unfortunate Star Wars name ever. It sounds like an exceptionally dirty sex act.
Oh geez. You're horrible. :P
Yeah. I'd say it's a tie with Chewbacca.

Love the Mandalorians but I dont think they will be a playable "race". Let's just hope they are more involved then just another quest hub. Favorties still are Miralukas and Zabraks. Also reading the third Darth Bane book has me a little interested in the Iktotchi race.
Yes, we should all be punished for using our imaginations and making logical opinions.
I could see most of the races being 'near human', as someone mentioned above, with the choreographed combat, having to animate it for varied body types would take a lot of effort, which I imagine they will avoid. I'm just happy to get a selection of races, it was one of my main concerns originally with the game, as Bioware historically only allows humans. (MassEffect, Kotor, etc)
Popular near human races Lucas seems to like would be Twi'Lek, Xabrak, Kel Dor, Rodian, amung some others, all well represented in the minis game and all presented as playable races in the newest incarnation of the RPG.
I agree. I feel as though most of the dominate species are simply humanoid with a variation to head or face. So I imagine most, if not all races would just be mostly human. It's great to have some diversity through out the game, but I wouldn't be expecting to play anything like a Hanar (Mass Effect) or a Hutt ( though not impossible). Something I think would be interesting, is a droid / cyborg for a race like General Grievous or HK-47.
Visas's home planet was actually only a colony of the Miraluka. Their original planet is still safe and sound with a whole bunch of blind guys!
As for Mandalorians, I doubt ToR will make them a playable race. HOWEVER, there may be some sort of special selector under the Human where you get to choose a specific planet of birth. Mandalore, Alderaan, Tatooine... Or, if that's not available, you can simply make a Human character and RP as any of the species that are indistinguishable from plain Human. Mandalorians have no outward physical differences.
I want to play a Jawa.
