Hi mmorpg.com,
Can anyone quickly tell me which of the EU servers you feel are currently the most populated? I'm looking to find a new mmo to jump into for a while until cataclysm hits.

I don't have official figures but my RP english server Laurelin is well populated and active. Though I'm at highest level, I'm still wandering around a lot for deeds and RP in every zones and I can see people and the Ettenmoors (the PvP zone) is fought for a lot. The server is more active in the evening due to the grown-up population of LotRO.
Can't be more precise, maybe other forumers can tell you about their server.
The servers more populated in LOTRO EU are Snowbourn and Laurelin(RP) ex:(Globallff 150-300). You had to be careful when play in the Laurelin server, there some players and GMs that are fundamentalists, if you use a char name or behavior, even if it isnt offensive, if they consider that isnt part of Lore, they do complaining about you or change your char name without notice. Even if you like RP, Laurelin is very limiting to the freedom of the players. Evernight and Gilrain are medium populated ex:(Globallff 60-120), Elder have good players and is enufe populated. If you are looking good PvP or tactical PvP game, this isnt you game, Ettens world is limited in the PvP options and dont have desirable rewards so mostly of players stay in the PvE worlds. GL in LOTRO.
You folks have an official RP server? I play on U.S. server Landroval and its the "unofficial" RP server. Unless they have created one that I dont know about, the U.S. has no official RP server.
Yes is official RP server.
All EU lotro servers are really well populated. So you don't do annything wrong by just pick a server randomly.
Only Gilrain is known as the least populated server. But even there is the community healthy

waiting for ... nothing..
It's not that bad in my experience. Wife really doesn't care (or doesn't know anything) about the Lord of the Rings lore and is visiting en enjoying hard-core roleplaying meetings without any trouble whatsoever.
But I have to admit that I have a secret desire to roll a hobbit called Hairdo and see how long that name will last...
Well, I had 1 minstrel called Specialone in Laurelin, that is same name that i have in Evernight and Brandywine char since 2007. They changed the name of the Laurelin char to Tydd without warning , when i asked they said that name is against the Lore. Thats all the story...
