NOT worth it. It's basically a Fury ripoff with better character creation

  • aaradunaaradun Member Posts: 91

So basically by your logic all FPS are a fury ripoff right. this game got

    1) a huge map (fury had small maps)

    2) this game got cars (ehhh fury did not)

    3) this game got guns (ehh fury did not)

    4) this game got rocket launchers (fury did not).

So ya a ripoff of fury...

    I'm tempted, very tempted...

If they had gone with a pay for content system (like Guild Wars), I would recommend the game.  But based off of my experience the game is another fury, early ddo or GA, a decent game but not one worthly of a monthly fee.

I didnt like the fact that you have load screens between districts, and didnt like the fact that you have no house in game. Apart of that the game is not bad, it's fun if you like street 1on1 pvp. The character creation is awesome and the graphics are really good. But I'm not buying it.

wow kishe, such a ignorant post is unbecoming of you.

  • R3DD3RSR3DD3RS Member Posts: 42

I so want to buy this game but my gut feeling is telling me not to. It looks impressive but I have a sinking feeling that it will get boring very soon with what little content I've seen. Me thinks I'll wait a few months and see what people have got to say before I rush out and spend my cash o this title.

  • PaulehPauleh Member UncommonPosts: 78

Eh... I wouldnt say its anything like fury apart from it been a pvp game, but right now the game isnt fit for a retail release (A quality one that is).

Bah! I was on my mobile and couldn't reply properly...I meant to let augustgrace know that there are multiple payment options.

    Just buying the game includes:

    1. Unlimited Social district game time. (No payment required to play in social)

    2. 50 hours of Action district game time out of the box.

After the 50 hours are up you can choose to either:

    1. Pay $6.99 for 20 hours of Action district game time, ot

    2. Pay $9.99 for 30 days

I think that's a pretty fair system, interesting to be sure.  As soon as I upgrade my system I'll be buying this game.

GA has never had a monthly fee yet.

My only adivice is play it first....EA made these guys shove the game out the door and I think it is far from ready.

This sword here at my side dont act the way it should
Keeps calling me its master, but I feel like its slave
Hauling me faster and faster to an early, early grave
And it howls! it howls like hell!

It will have with the next patch if you want to access full content.

@Topic Yeah im not buying aswell. First i was thrilled as i see there would be such a game, but more and more info i saw the less i wanted to have it. Its kinda the same strategy as "Global Agenda" instead they just want subscription shop + item shop (item shop stays item shop doesnt matter what it sells as long you can buy it with real cash) at start. This game consist more or less of 3 instanced zones.

Looks like a potentially fun game but it seems it lacks depth.... gonna wait a few months or for a few price drops before buying.

I was really tough with the game about the payment system. I hadnt played the game. I was wrong to have jumped the gun  on the title without accually playing it.. Im not perfect, and though ive done many things in the scene, even i can be shocked. And i am.

This game is Beast for sure!

After playing this beta period, im really addicted.  Ive seen situations that just scream  fraps...

Chasing someone with a Van full of your guildies and another guildie drives  off a ramp and lands on the vehicle we are chasing down... epic.

Sure i think the game has a lot of issues. Its closed beta what could one expect from such a time the games at in development.  But there is something special about the game. That keeps me coming back as jaded and as bored as i have been with the whole  cookie cutter genre.

Get a beta key off the net and download the game and check it out for your self. Or sit on a forum and play the flavor of the month whine-A-thon game..

    Your time...

Now there isn't any NDA material in what Ive said here. These issues are Viewable by anyone.

Just wanted to put that out there.

There is never just one side of the coin (good), there are always two sides (good and bad). And as typical fanboy you showed simply the good one without telling anything about cons. So you got no credibility in my eyes. Just my opinion.

I'd tell you what's wrong, but I'm under the NDA, too. Does that make me a fanboy?

As for me, I'm not pre-ordering until they work out a certain issue with Vista 32-bit and a stupid yet popular anti-cheating program.

Then you haven't seen the posts Ive made against it before. Check those out first before assuming. You act as if You the local game Bank.  I did say there were a lot of issues.. but there is an NDA. Play the game and find out what the fuss is all about or continue Your troll speculation.

if its so easy to try this game could someone pm me with the 'method' ? reged 2times for beta and now i dont even get newsletter :(

  • KhorsKhors Member Posts: 147

I saw that.  I can no longer count how many times i think that 'a game has so much potential, but falls short'.

This is like a prettier counterstrike with cars that their asking for a monthly sub on.

I've heard rumblings that perhaps the gross shallowness of it's overly redundent game-play and imbalance is a major reason why out of 6000 keys that people signed up for, people that were really interested to assist with beta testing, and only less than 1% are actually interested anymore.

  • GetalifeGetalife Member CommonPosts: 786

Khors are you talking out of your butt again? yes you are. APB is anything but shallow, i wonder how much time you spent in beta.
