most gamers want a good community who act mature and are willing to help any1 out. Welp inever in anygame seen a community and game company this close... check this link out http://forums.fallenearth.com/fallenearth/showthread.php?t=37486
The community have begun promoting the game everywhere. granted FE is on mainstream sites but still goes un-noticed so we the community have taken a stand to help promote the game. even old members have began coming back and the population is startin to repidly rise :-) So come join us in the wastelands! Trust me its worth it and oh almost forgot try to not step to close to the chicken's. they do eat meat :-P

I agree this game is one of the few good ones left.. People always willing to help and GM's on in game help with bugged quest and over help... there is no game like it like fallen earth period..
Actually there are no GMs anymore in game and help channel is full of abuse and nonsense. I don't know when was the last time you played the game. Things changed a lot since they fired half of their staff.
I've outgrown the help channel some time ago, so I can't comment on what the poster above mentioned. The region chat however is as helpful as it was before the layoffs. The players maturity level and helpful attitude is not dictated by the presence or absence of GMs, but rather by the feeling that they are a small community, who has the best interest in helping each other.
GMs and support staff weren't amongst the layoffs, according to a massivley article at least.
Be a damn shame if they lost the 24 hour monitoring, that's what kept the /help from being like every other MMOs general chat. I'd be interested to know one way or the other if someone can confirm things.

gm's are still ingame i spotted morganna ingame last night from 8 pm-12 am east coast time. thing is we might not see the GM's at night anymore. which is fine cuz well people do have lives. during the day their is 1-2 on all the time. u just dont spotem as ya used too and just use the social tab and hunt for them starting lvl 46- max 100 and usually bottom of the list is where they are :-)
actually GM's are 60-110 now
They got a cap up since we are
nahh not all ofem caped up yet they are takin their time..lol
Both the GMs and the community are truly great. I recently joined TEMPS and I recommend all new players to join the clan for at least the first 5-7 levels. The Help channel is great during the day but, as with any MMO, the douchebaggery starts to crawl out of the woodwork late at night.

There has been roughly a 50% reduction in gm staff. The community is good overall. There does seem to be a rift developing in the community this if found mostly in the forums. Help channel has somewhat become less effective due to gm absence and complete lack of support from the devs. Overall its the best community I've been involved with.
When was the last time you logged on?
I've been on and off for the past 3 days and the help channel is very polite and respectful, there is NO abuse at all towards other players and 2 GMs were online last night (sunday 23rd may)
I find the community of FE no better nor worse than any other MMO.
On the plus side, you don't see nearly as much trash spam in the chat channels as in other games w/o the NC17 rating. I can get most questions answered, and folks in the chat channels are responsive, which is good for a small game.
Very few beggars, have only seen one or two ever, have only seen a couple of obvious gold farmers.
There are newbie clans available for those who need help with the steep learning curve. Lots of ingame events hosted by community reps, who seem more involved than in other games.
On the minus side, when teaming with random folks, it is standard procedure to just drop team whenever the objective is obtained, little chat or interest in getting to know those teamed with, only about half of my team chat in Pugs is even responded to.
The maturity level and leadership level of some of the leading clans is abysmal. A couple of high level clans suck up almost all high level players indiscriminately, so the clan environment on the high end consists of a couple of large zergs, a very few faction consistent clans that are healthy, and a giant mass of tiny, unhealthy clans that can't progress due to limited population pool and the large clans' indiscriminate recruiting practices. Basically, the big clans are "friends of the game" to the extent their ability to zerg is perpetuated.
Forums are selectively moderated, as I have found out recently, and certain clans very obviously hold undue influence with the devs/moderators. Say anything about it, and you get an infraction/post deletion for "conspiracy," have had a couple of players state they feel similar favoritism is at play via PM but are afraid to talk about it openly.
I'll cast my vote for this point of view. In my experience, region chat runs from the incredibly helpful to "everyone from Switzerland is gay." The only difference between this and a popular mmo is in a popular mmo there are more people to be helpful and more people to behave like idiots. I've played for hours at a stretch and had not a word appear in region chat. The last two weeks have been especially quiet, though that might just be because I've switched primary operations to S3 (for all I know S1 is the same as it was a month ago). But when someone finally does pipe up in S3, I'd say it's a mixed bag whether they say something smart and informed or juvenile and petty.
Everyone seem sto talk in Help, Clan and Team. T.E.M.P.S. is regularly at the 1,000 member clan limit (they kick anyone inactive for more than 10 days to make room) and the chat there is both extremely helpful and very active.

The clan limit is 1000? I had no idea it was that high. What a colossal design error. Should be 100 in a young niche game, not 1000. The game deserves the poor high-end "zergs only" community it has then until it makes changes.
