Question on Crafting?

AbraxosAbraxos Member Posts: 412

I have crafters in Neriak and Timmorous. I was considering making a new character in Halas. Can my evil characters send a Dwarf Berserker in Halas a new helm or sword? I haven't played in about 2 years and can't remember?

I was wondering if you HAVE to tradeskill at all on EQ2 anymore? I remember you had to one time. And I'm preety sure you can if theres a bank huh?

Yes you will be able to send anything other than lore items.

If your characters are on the same server, you will have shared bank slots that you can use to share items, money etc. There are no more restrictions on evil/good like there was when the game first started.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks much! Hope no one finds out my Hala's dwarf is dealing in arms from Neriak. :)

No you don't have to tradeskill if you don't want to. There are plenty of ways to make good money just by selling what you loot.

How ever crafters still are needed in game to make higher ranked spells/combat arts, armor/weapons and food/drink. So it is up to the player if they want to or not.

But I would advise anyone playing to at least tradeskill to level 9. There are some Heritage Quests that require you to make an item, which is usually set for level 9 crafting.

This above is right. One part of your bank stuff is accessible to all your account's characters. Or you just could send it per mail, but the bank thing is faster :P

In the newest expansion (Sentinel's Fate) most dungeon drops arent "bind on pickup"-labeled, but they're now heritage items. Means, you can put them on your shared bank boxes to wear them with another char. Easy to get loot for twinks :P

Question on class recommend and what tradeskill to work on for that I'm more of a fighting type.

    Laviticus;

While I don't normally like to recommend classes, due to the fact I think everyone should play what they like and how they like. I will make a couple of suggestions and you can choose either one or one of your own.

First seeing that you said you like th  fighter type, you might want to think of either Guardian or Berserker classes or maybe Paladin or Shadownight. All 4 are plate wearing tank fighters that at least on my server are highly wanted. (Crushbone) For these classes for crafting I would suggest Alchemist or Armorer. Alchemist makes upgrade combat arts for fighters, potions for all classes and poisons for scouts. Armorer... well you know. :)

Then you have your scouts. Swashbuckler or brigand which are both rogues...high melee damage, utility. You also have the Assasin... High melee damge. All 3 are highly wanted. For these classes I would recomend being a Jewler. You make jewelry and scout upgrade combat arts.

I personnly have a Paladin, Shadownight and a Swashbukler and love them all.

You also have Monks and Bruisers which are leather wearing fighters in the martial arts type of combat and do decent damage. For these classes oyu might want to make a tailor for their armor, or alchemist.

There are also in the scout classes Ranger, Troubador and Dirge. Rangers do high damge at range while the Troubador and Dirge are more Buff oriented but do decent damage.

So I hope this helps. Good luck in yur choice and most of all have fun.

Thank You. I will choose a Pally, Sk,,Guardian, or  Zerk. Do Zerkers get Duel Wield and can they tank as well as the other classes. Which class out of those 4 tank the best you would think?

SK is absolutly the best class in EQ2. Its the alltime-FOTM class and so its played by many. I think, they're great at tanking, but on raids guardians are prefered (imo)

I would avoid to roll an SK at the moment as they are overowered and the nerfbat are most likely incoming, furthermore you can not swing a dead orc around without hitting an SK. Zerker is fun, dual wield, lots of AoE damage and a good group tank,

That  is true, would be a waste to do one at the moment.
