Supergroup Ideas - Themed heroes

Ok, I admit the game can get a tad boring after days and days of non-stop playing. So I'm looking to see if anyone out there is interested in forming some sort of themed super group... I have a few ideas...

-- A balanced group of all fire-based heroes. My original idea was to have everyone be a 'fire imp' from another dimension, ie. short, orange skin, pointy ears, pointy tails, similar black & grey costumes

-- Frozen Force... ice heroes... again, since blasters, controllers, and tanks can all have ice powers, this would make a good theme to start with. Haven't thought of much about how they would look - probably kinda like Fantastic Four style.

-- The Martians... aliens... everyone make characters with the same odd shade of skin (i like blue-green), a variety of energy powers

-- Earthen Heroes... rocks... everyone could be a rock-creature, all with various powers, preferrably earth-based

-- Trollkin Brotherhood... everyone make a troll-looking character, with mostly dark and earth powers, kind of like anti-heroes

-- White Star Inc. -- a good corporation that cranks out cybernetic heroes, a white star symbol, white/blue costumes, gold-colored cybernetic enhancements


These are just a few ideas. I'm open to other good ideas, if someone has them, although I prefer to play well-thought-out "classic" heroes, ie. spandex, mutant or science types...
Any server would be cool with me.
Some degree of roleplaying would be encouraged. We would develop a story as to how the supergroup came into being, and all heroes would have to fit into the story.

    I like the idea :) I dont really care which one you pick, ill join up with you if you play @ the same times i do. (european)

     

    btw:

    anti-hero = a hero who does everything wrong like Guybrush Treepwood in Monkey Island. Spawn for example is not a anti-hero, its just a bad-guy-look-a-like hero or whatever :)

    frozen force: sounds like some ancient force which has been frozen and therefor has no powers left. I dont know the exact english word for it :P

    I made a hero/leader for the Frozen Force (group name can be discussed). His name is "Professor Comet" on the Protector server, and he's an ice/forcefield controller.

    The colors are white (actually one shade darker than pure white), and a medium/dark blue. The chest type is Square Top, and the gloves and boots are Bands. The chest detail is the comet, and the belt is the Jewel (with a light blue jewel). Try to make the costumes somewhat similar, or at least not too crazy/mystical.

    Origin should be Science, since I'm thinking the origin will involve a bunch of humans that were on a rocket studying a comet, when somehow they got ice powers.

    Let me know when others join and what times you like to play.

    i think a littel green alien men or women group would be quite neat to follow around its something i havent seen before and i am realy bummed out on ninjas hehe

    This is just a cautionary note i'm not saying any of these are a bad thing to do ok.

    But i started this game in closed beta and we found that yes all heros in a group with the same powers (or simillar) was fun but higher up you need a balance with various types as they all bring something different to the party, in your poll i voted for the fire imp idea as that was tho one power type that had the neccecary power and if the dot's were used well you can be an immence force, if your SG isn't too big it also alows you to solo or be welcomed into another party.

    This is as i said feedback and i don't want you to think i'm just being critical of your ideas i hope this will help you so you can have more fun rather than get stuck in the future.

    Well I had a thought, an inspiration from a book, not exactly fire Imps, but just Imps.... Now here's the catch:

    Each Imp has to be a pun-ish name. i.e. Ortant, Rovise, Ossible, Earial, etc.

    Then just sit back to see how long it takes people to get it!
