Well since it's going to be released soon and the trailer looks promising I might be purchasing this one. But I couldn't find a price anywhere.
Also is it download only? It seems that I can only order it from their website but I have to create an account and stuff before I even get to see the price.
Does anyone know if there are plans for a free trial (I missed the open beta) ?

Although I am not sure 100% the price, you can create an account by clicking on one of the purchasing options and the prices will be shown to you. Although you used to be able to see the prices since their new account system you must create an account to see details, and its quick and painless so just create one
. It is premium pricing, but it is an indy dev team without a publisher so they rely on community for their capital. Although this then allows them creative freedom

The free trial is over, although they may have a $1 free trial like Darkfall?
Dont listen to the soon to arrive haters, the game has bugs but the foundation is solid and the devs work extremely hard and take community input very seriously so i think it will have a good future. My guild is happy with it anyway.

You can make a thread and mods will be happy to answer you (probably within a day) and you can get a real gauge of how happy the community is, most people on mmorpg.com either haven't bought the game or enjoy jumping on the bandwagon.
Remember, its currently in beta and is testing, so the devs aren't worried about whether testers are enjoying themselves (there are wipes etc)

Don't bother registering. It costs whopping 70(20euro VAT) euros for boxed and 50(13 euro VAT) euros for digital copy in here (I would assume boxed version cost differences but digital is same for all countries). Money well wasted. It doesn't have solid foundation like fanbois say, it's empty sandbox with very few toys(not working currently). I would wait 6 month to see if they actually fixed horrible desync problem (plus add more content) and don't trust fanbois on this since all they do is repeat devs "Bug fixed" that SV said before closing Open Beta. There is no proof of that and devs been lying about fixing it for months(they never got it fixed before and now they pulled rabbit out of hat and said it was done, unfortunatly it can't be confirmed since they also closed open beta same time).
It doesn't have any lore inside game, it's extremly frustrating to find anything and you are better of by first going thru sites where you can actually find how stuff works since game is hardly self-explaining nor intuative. It's pretty first, but after 30mins you find everything very static. Combat works ok when few people and horrible when many people. If you want to try competive PvP (read dick measuring) go try Darkfall, it's much better condition, it has actually more stuff to do and it's full of same Nazis you find in MO.
I would second the wait a bit for more content, but according to your recommendation to wait 6 months that would be based on a solid foundation?
So yeah, its got potential, thats why I am supporting it and helping it blossom, or just wait 6 months and come in then. Your choice.
I would wait few months and see how the game is developing. Same goes for DF if you are interested in PvE game with PvP endgame (wait till q4).
Potential is such a cheap excuse now days. It says nothing as it could be good if devs dont fuck it up. But how often devs dont fuck it up? Cant remember about such thing like "not fucked up game by devs".
Indy doesnt give you an excuse to push out broken stuff to release.

I love the game but would still suggest that most people wait. 6 months is a good amount of time based on the progress that has been made in the last 6.
I would find the "two weeks until release" thread. . near the top of general for a good view of how people feel about the game. No flaming going on there (for the most part) but a lot of concern. Mostly this is around the release date of June 9th. Either they are going to put something up very soon for testers or they are going to push it back again. I hope they do the first and it works but past history suggests that the latter is more likely.

The trailers show ingame action.
The games current state is 90% of the features turned off which was done to locate and get rid of the desync with the help of EpicGames staff. The features will be back in before release. If your expecting a polished game then indeed wait a few months then see how it's doing but if you're looking for a good game to play from the start it may well be worth sticking it out with some of the bugs they currently have.
All the devs are fully qualified I believe which means they're not amateurs at what they do.
Fully qualified? By what standards? I changed the air filter on my car, does that make me a mechaninc?

Have you seen weather effects in game? Have you seen that mount? Have you seen people sharping weapons? Have you seen player interact with mounts like that? 90% of that video is BS and anyone thats played knows that.

Well thanks for all those replies. I guess 40 Euro is ok, but I think I will wait for a free trial or for some reviews after release. In the past few years I learned that you should not preorder MMORPG's unless it's from a big known company (and even then they tend to suck at release like AoC).
Too bad, I was hoping for a nice MMORPG this summer
