Amazing. They found the 3 women who play EVE and made them all CSMs.
According to CCP's own data roughly 5% of their player base is female.
As of October 2009 the average age of an Eve Online player was 27, of which 95% were male and 5% were female. The average weekly playtime is 17 hours, or just under 2.5 hours per day on average.
I just cannot believe they voted Ank in for another term
Did you vote? If you don't want Ank in then you should have voted for someone else. If you did vote then apparently the majority do not seem to agree with your opinion of Ank.
Just say'n.
Yes I actually made the mistake of voting her in the first time so I accept partial responsibility for that one, but I was hoping there were enough Factional Warfare players around to keep it from happening again.
The turnout was a record 12.67%, and 3.1% of the vote was female, compared to the currently reported 4% of the players who are female. But I can guarantee you that there are more females than are on CSM, because i'm one of them, and my horse came in first. Mynxee has a great blog, good ideas, and seems to have a lot of sense and organizing ability. I'm glad she made it!

I made you a sarcasm but you eated it.
Bush got two - why not Ankh? *sigh*
Yes, she's a moonbat, but she ran a very effective fear campaign, spamming mission hubs and lying about other candidates. At least she didn't get chair.
Give me liberty or give me lasers
What's with all the negativity about Ankhesentapemkah? Could someone explain? Thought her campaign looked fine.
"If all you can say is... "It's awful, it's not innovative, it's ugly, it's blah.." Then you're an unimaginative and unpolished excuse for human life" -eburn
from what i've heard, she's a carebear and believes everyone who pvps (or is it just piracy?) has some mental issues since internet spaceships is srs. I am also glad she didnt win chair, voted for mynxee myself, would be nice to see some attention given to lowsec.

any CSm candidate can target a specific audience live whit that
any other CSm spend their time doing something in game and then put the reviews on that ? i dint see ppl from CSm quiting alliance chairs to test FW
if she want to work for CCP why not we got enslaver, selenne, goons directors and other ex-MC ppl so this should be ok
you really think Ank is so carebear ?

Carebears need a voice also.
Playing: Rift, LotRO

lol relaxe i only said what i heard. Although that last link did spark my memory as to why alot of people dont like her. I remember now that thread in the assembly hall about larger penalties for suicide ganking. Carebears need a voice to i agree, as long as they dont step into lowsec with it.
EDIT: and that suicide ganking proposal goes way over the line. I agree with some of the points, but what that proposal would do, is make high sec completely safe without anyone bothering to suicide gank. My opinion of her still stands for what she stands for. Case and point

Yeah...OMG...lately my sarcasm detector is shot all to bejeezes. I dunno what is going on with meh brain! I think it is because of all the pressure I am unbder at my new job. Everyone I work with is so serious and none have much of a sense of humor. Don't get me wrong, they are good people, but OMG...maybe they are wering off on me! Eeeek!
She runs a fine campaign which is evident from getting voted in twice.
I just had the displeasure of being in the Gallente FW when she was there and she was not a very nice person in militia chat. She was one of those who flew around in a griffin with a probe launcher and a cloaking device running missions without killing a single NPC due to a bug. When she was caught running missions cloaked she went off on her own militia, rage quit and joined the Caldari. We had a pretty good laugh at the time, but I was quite shocked to see that type behavior from a CSM.
The majority of EvE players know that the CSM is a joke and little more than a PR stunt. If Ankwhateverhernameis wants to pretend that she's some representative of the people because she got on - let her. If she wants to fluff her resume by claiming that being on the CSM is "employment" (look her up on linkedin) then let her. But don't try to convince the rest of us that it means anything in game.
Back to the OP, this is the buggiest launch day I've seen in 2 years. Even things that CCP claims not to have touched have turned buggy.
More importantly though, Spacebook (they call it evegate) now allows anybody that you have set positive to look at your entire contact list (both positive and negative). CCP decided that Google's Buzz was the perfect example of how to launch a new social networking application and that they'd force everybody to use it by setting your private information to be publicly viewable.
Their first iteration on the test server had everybody's private information viewable by everybody else. EvE being the type of game that it is, I suspect that this information was scraped off that website within an hour. CCP then decided that was a mistake and reset it so that only your positive standing contacts could see your private information and that's the default when it launched.
What they seem to have forgotten was that most people's positive standings relate to who you can/can't pvp against. They have nothing to do with who you like, who you trust or who your friends are. So they're basing this social networking app on your target selection data.
So, if you value your privacy at all, I'd log onto spacebook immediately, set your privacy options to "no pilots", set your status to "jump off a cliff CCP" and then erase the URL.
