Been playing the beta and I can honestly say I am not impressed with Reach.
The game feels exactly like Halo 3. Yeah, there are a good amount of new guns and the new loadout feature (a mimic of COD classes IMO), but Reach doesn't offer anything that would make me go back to the franchise.
I played Halo 2 and 3 pretty hardcore and competitively. Loved them both to death up until MW1 and 2 came out. Honestly got tired of the game being about grenades (which are a bit stronger in reach) and who can headshot the other player to get shields down first.
I know its the beta, but I thought at least they would try and improve how slow and long it takes to setup a game, vote a game and start a game. Seems just long as it does in Halo 3.
Any thoughts? I know this is kind of a rant but I am pretty disappointed with the beta right now and i want to know how other people feel. Seems like since ODST and Halo Wars didn't sell well Bungie has been out of the loop.

Halo is the most over hyped game of all time.
It will sell, good or not.

One game to rule them all-Battlefield=Win
be a halo soldier = nerd kiddos wet dream.
Halo needs saving?
That game would sell if all the super soldiers in game were turned into fluffy bunnies that shot party streamers at one another on a la la land map.
Nothing is going to kill that franchise.

wasnt ms supposed to use donnybrook so they could have huge amount of player on one map or such?what happened did it get cancelled!
ODST and Halo Wars were cheap projects to suck up some extra money.
I am also playing the Halo Reach beta and believe it has the potential to be more intense and satisfying multiplayer experience than Halo 3 was. The series is no where close to needing any saving or anything of that sort.
In regards to the speed of starting a game. I really do not see it as an issue nor was it one in Halo 3. MW 1&2 is so annoying I could have found 3 new games in Halo in the amount of time between MW 1&2 games. I do not want a short intermission between games.
Not a fanboy for Halo or CoD series btw. I play them both pretty hardcore and those are my unbiased opinions.
A real gamer will never use a controller for a shooter.
A real gamer wouldnt care what "controller" he/she used for a game. they would master it no matter what the device to excel at whatever game they were playing.

will it come out on the PC or is it 360 only? Does the 360 have keyboard/mouse support for there fps games?
It will be 360 exclusively. The only Halo released on PC was Halo 2 and I doubt they will ever do so again. Halo is made to be played with a controller. You can buy a USB adapter for the 360 which will allow you to connect a keyboard and mouse but from what I have read many users have trouble with sensitivity and the general feel is just off. Halo is a slower shooter, and there aren't options to increasing sensitivity, therefore a keyboard/mouse setup wouldn't be worth using anyway.
After the original Halo everything that was done afterwards was mediocre. Microsoft is just milking it for all it can before they move on to somethng else.
I don't get what is so good about Halo. I mean I can understand why console people like the first one, however Halo 2 is just shit and Halo 3 is just more of the same. Halo 2 came out besides HL2 and it just seemed so dated and crap compared. Halo 3 came out alongside COD 4 and Bioshock so it was like again so dated compared and just more of the same.
The franchise has gone nowhere since the first game and even the first game wasn't that good. It had shitty copy and paste level design and lacked multiplayer.
Yeah I gotta agree...a friend was so hyped up about this...I just didn't get it.
Halo 1 was released on PC as well, and in fact, was originally going to be a PC exclusive game. Microsoft bought out the developer Bungie near the end of it's development cycle and then rushed the final phases, mainly level design, to get it released at the same time as the original Xbox.
So the truth of it all, is that Halo was a PC game ported to console, a rushed one at that.
Sorry to let all the fanboys down
save the franchise from...?
being one of the most popular games of the generation and one of the most famous shooters of all time?
over hyped or not, it sells because people enjoy it. Suck it trolls
Somehwere in some dark game company basement a designer read your comment and a little lightbulb appeared over his head. When Halo 5 "The Bunny Wars" comes out I hope you can live with yourself, Rockgod99.
"Gypsies, tramps, and thieves, we were called by the Admin of the site . . . "
Are you kidding me? Its obvious this is just product placement advertisement. Rockgod99 is developing this title as we speak.
I think Reach is great.
The armor abilities add a new dynamic of strategy to the game not present before.
Determining what set to use in which map at which time in what game type is a whole new dimension of FPS strategy.
Well, at least for the Halo series.
I like it a LOT better then the CoD series in that you can't start yourself with any better guns then anyone else gets.
I hate CoD in that you end up with like 5-10 snipers per game and if they have any skill what so ever they totally dominate and ruin the game for everyone else.
The new invasion and invasion slayer game types are fun. The spartans vs. elites is great too.
Many of the new weapons are interesting, many of the old ones are refined...
It may not be revolutionary but it certainly is evolutionary.
I am just waiting to see how the campaign is. I didn't even finish the ODST campaign, and H2 and H3 had really odd plot lines and not much in the way of "flow" and logical/sensible progression.
It might but it will be hard to top Halo 3
Bring back Vanilla WoW pvp
Multiplayer was fantastic in Halo 2.
Ill agree on the single player being worse since halo 1 though.
