A Really Fun Game

FairyweatherFairyweather Member Posts: 18

I downloaded the demo on Steam the other day. I have to say, this is probably the most fun I've had with an MMO in a while.  I'm not sure, I think its just the fact I can make whatever guy I want, and he smashes things like an animal.  I can also throw almost every object I see.  I was watching a guy chuck trucks around for 15 minutes.  Hilarious.

For 20 bucks and 30 days of game time, its the first MMO I've bought in a while. I may not play forever, but its a good time so far.  Torchlight is going to have to wait a few more weeks.

Anyone else pick this up and was somewhat surprised?

I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few people are.

I'm not new to CO, as have been playing it since open beta.  Although I had taken a break for a few months.  So I was pleasantly surpised to see the improvements they've made to it, especially over the past three month.  Its certainly a lot more fun and polished  than it used to be.  Finally one doesn't  have to run around with only a select few defensive passives, so builds are a lot more flexible.  Which is great (for me), as I love making concept heroes.

I pick this game up about month ago or so, and have been surprised how much fun it has been.  I tried COH/COV and lost interest in that after a month.   But I think I might be staying with the game for awhile.

its great fun, pity theres not much content.. it feels like they packed the world into one a 5th the size of CoX, then theres the zoning, its benefits doesnt outweight its flaws. It ruins the game and the immersion.. still the gameplay itself is a real compelling arguement to buy this game, dont think Ive had more fun with an other mmo combat system then what I had with CO. Not to forget the hilarious Nemesis feature.

Still I have hard seeing anyone playing this game for more then 1-2 months (havnt seen anything of this game since open beta), its too short, too few levels and too few places to travel

It's a very good game, with a strong core and a fun PvP (contrarily to CoX where PvP has been totally dead since i13). However many players got pissed at the release of CO because there was nothing to do at level 40 just a bunch of dailies to access one single instance. It since got better, and the game keeps improving and adding content. Unfortunately, the game remains tagged with a bad image of a poor release : the game could really have used a few more months of development. If you tried and liked the game before, it might be time to check it again, especially when the new Serpent's Lantern pack gets released.
