Well so do we (the people that paid for the game) but instead of being able to play WOW we are given nightly crashes from almost all the servers, and this happens almost ever night people...
March 15, 2005 9:45 pm EST Tons of servers bit the dust all at the same time... This comming after they had scheduled Tuesday 4 hour Maint on them... NICE
Frankly I have about had enough... Great game, but horribly unstable.... Im a crash or two away from the /cancel button... Lets see that should mean that Thursay at around 9:30 EST I will cancel WOW...
/sigh if only EQ2 had pvp.. damn you SOE!!!!!
P.S for those of you sitting on the fence as far as getting the game or not.. Let me push you the hell of that fence...Nothing like Doing a high lvl instance that takes hours with 15 other people then killing the boss (The Beast) and winning the roll for the Mace then all of a sudden you cant loot cause bam Server Crash... LMFAO...... That crap happend to a raid partner the other night.. I honestly dont know what I would have done if it happend to me...

Server is down right now...
EVERY night the server crashes multiple times. Unless I'm in an instance by 7-8pm, I don't even bother playing.
Not to mention I have to dwal with THIS every time I log on during the night.

quote me if I am wrong, but that was how the char select screen was before release. I remember that one and was that bad. Like in the stress test shutting down most of the servers to overload the server to see how it responds.

my latency is usually stable around 200 + or- a few. my server has not crash ion all the time ive been playing (about 2 months) maybe im just not on when it does. i still have a lot of faith in the game because its just plain sooo cool. id stick with it, its definately worth it.

EQ2 is a horrible game regardless of PvP.
SOE customer support is the worst in the industry.
EQ2 is still very anti soloing even after the addition of new solo content.
The character models and UI look like crap IMO.

I dunno what is ur problem with the UI. Very simplistc and fully customizable. Probably the UI is the best part of the game:) I dont have problem with char models.
Anyways the movie is fake, cause when u in queue, the client doesnt even let you log in. Keeps you on the log in screen, not the char select screen.

I think the whole point of that movie flew over your head. It's a joke. Don't you know what a joke is?

I like how Blizzard ignores this but will stop the presses to brag about how they are out-selling other games in Europe or Asia. Shows you what they think is most important, stablity of thier game or thier bottom line.
Guess they forgot WoW is not Diablo where all they needed to do is throw in a 1/2 meg patch or two to keep the bnet kiddies happy and not a MMORPG that needs ALOT and constant TLC.

i will say that blizzard support does suck. how the hell are you gonna have a support system that is only up 9-6 mon thru fri pst. that sux. ive tried multiple timesw to contact but the wait is horrific. however; when you get through the people are very helpful, they have answered many of my questions. JUST STAY OPEN ON THE WEEKENDS DAMMIT!!!!!!!

i experienced some downtime on my server but what made up for it was the fact that blizzard was nice enough to hand out free days and i didnt have to pay for the downtime. I dont recall any other MMO that ever gave back to their customers for server side issues. I feel that blizzard is doing their best and i have confindence that they are working out the issues.
If you want to compare blizzard to sony and say sony has a lead in customr support i like you to play star wars galaxies for a while. I do recall the CEO of sony releasing a statement that SWG was a bust and needs an overhaul. I played SWG through beta and for 3 months there after as well as going back after a year its been out...not once did sony reimburse me for anything. I felt as if i was still playing the beta and paying for it. I remember when verant was in control of EQ and get name changed or server change request or moving characters across accounts didnt cost a cent, just simply a petition. Sony buys out EQ and changes all that making customers pay for once simple petition. Sony also cut the number of GMs in EQ down to 3-4 for all 41 servers when there use to be at least 1-2 GMs per server. I like the fact that sony added more content to EQ but they added so much content that it made the original EQ obsolete and zones soon becamne empty waste lands that were visited for farming gear. The constant balancing of classes got out of hand. Im sure many veteren players of EQ can say the game no longer because a game but a job that you pay for instead of getting paid. The thirst for new better gear and higher levels and the most control over the planes has ruined EQ for me. Lots still play because of the amount of time they spent and how much they would waste if they quit.
thats just my opinion though...

I just want to say that y'all are some dedicated people. When the Blizz makes a big poo-poo of their MMO, y'all don't leave, you think that the magic MMO faries will fix ya right up! I admire your stoicism in the face of major screw-ups! Keep the Faith!!!

what MMO are you currently playing? have you played WoW? And have you played WoW to the max level of 60? Do you or have you played any other blizzard game?
because based on your reply i cannot certify that your statement is criticism or just slander driven by emotions. Where is the insight into what makes blizzard's game such a "big poo-poo"?

Are yall talking about US or EU verion of the game? I never go over to the US side coz i never need to. But even though EU had some problems with some servers i could never see from the website it was that bad. True some servers were really messed up due to overload but blizzard been saying for ages to go onto servers with little load. As some have said, what other games gave you free gaming time for server downtime? So far WoW seems to be the first i have heard/read about and not to forget the free 3 day extension for February. True Blizzard is have some problems due to overload, but they know they made a mistake in calculating how popular the game would be... and they are trying to fix it.
I myself have played wow, and it was a good while ago, almost two months ago I quit playing. I can't remember the exact level of my character, either.
I do know that I had a 27-30lvl Gnome Mage, Dorin. It was a blast running through with this guy, I spent a good number of levels at..ahh i cant think of the city. It is inhabited by some Dwarves, that live near a huge lake, and that lake had a huge dam on it. It also had some Ogres on the other side of the lake, and if you swam through the water you'd run across some Threshadons...levels 18-22 I believe.
The skills Dorin had were, Engineering-Mining- and then the fishing skill which was boring.
When I got bored with questing, I would go mine, and when I got bored with mining, I would go grind. When I got bored with the grind I would go quest again. But, it soon lost its luster. The Community is what drove me in Eve, the first EverQuest, and then Earth and Beyond. WoW has almost no community. At least, for the server BloodHoof, which I played.
And to me, that is its greatest fault.
