The Challenge: Make a video to sell me on the game!!!!

I am an open minded person. From what I can see.. there is not a single system in MO that is complete and/or fun... and it's 8 days from release, but I'm willing to look. My challenge:

Create a fan made video using only actual in game FRAPS (you can of course overlay text or effects on that but no video that is 3/4 footage of Braveheart with 30 seconds of some MO guy with a sword). This video should show everything thats great about the game. You believe in the game.. now here is your chance to show the world WHY... This is one week from release so now is your last chance to show the world. Please be sure the video is made AFTER the switch to the new engine@!

Instead of saying how other videos are flawed or biased.. take the opportunity to show us why. Talk is cheap and a FRAPS is worth 1000 posts.

PS: Let's try to make them actually of a decent length.. 30 seconds of running through the woods just isn't going to sell anyone on the game.

Please read the post. I would like actual in game footage that a player today can experience.. not some trailer that is not obtainable in game. Lots of games have great trailers... I'm looking for a real video.. like this one from EvE which was found the other ay by simply typing "youtube best EvE video" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYEaPLCCIrY

I have never played the game as I heartd too much shady stuff about the company and deals between GMs and clans... but that's a fan made video that makes me say "Wow.. I want to try that"

(And it's over 2 years old)

So feel free to FRAPS the best of MO and put together something similar. Show me what I am missing!

Also.. it's important that the video be current.. after the switch to the new engine so we can all see how the game is currently running.

I'm not interested in MO just yet, but Its really not the consumers job to sell you on a game that your not interested in being sold on.

Really, if the devs aren't in a position to do a PR push on MO yet, if the content and mechanics arent tweaked well-enough for mass Indie-enthusiast consumption beyond the ardent hopefuls, then all your fishing for a show of remedy for what you see as the shortfalls for the game aren't gonna be there.

The map looks similar to dark messiah but I don't think you can bash with your weapon like that, make a kick yes but not bashing with the weapon and the armor is a bit different but maybe it's with some mods dunno I never used mods if there are.

This post is merely a followup thread to the "Will this game survive?" poll from yesterday. No amount of trailers and in game footage is going to convince those who have been actively trying to discredit MO for years.

MO is not a polished, complete game. Is that what you want to hear? It's true. Get over it and move on to something else or stick around and see where the ride goes. I don't have recent footage because I'm not a closed beta tester but one of the best, yet older vids of pvp that I have enjoyed is here --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8LAZe47BuE

Even though that video is dated now if it doesn't like even remotely entertaining to you then MO is probably not your game. If it does look interesting then just wait 2 weeks and keep an eye on youtube for release videos. Make your decision whether to buy then.

I think the OP's point has been made. Whether you like the game or hate the game, no one can make a video that would convince someone on the fence to try it when it is released. He clearly asked for a current representation of the good features, and all anyone could do was post old videos or insult him.

However, you're banging your head against a wall bro. You can't sway the opinion of an ignorant person. They live in an alternate reality where only their ideas make sense. It doesn't matter how much logic and reason you bring to the argument. They don't fight fire with fire.

The intelligent know that the game is bad. It's not ready for a release. The ignorant will have fun in their little world until the servers go down and then they will blame the care-bears for ruining the game. That's how it works.

1.not fake, its called a teeser trailer for a reason and what evidence do you have to say its fake when the game has not released yet from what i remember , that place is tindrem, and we going to have the dragon ingame and also we have those armours in game and also the mount is ingame aswell.

2. fake, your not forced to resub at all due to 1 free month in which you can disable the auto renew.

3. biased polls,pictures are obviously fake, due to the one with the models with the plastic looking like someone has crushed it.

4. the guy in that video is obiously retarded he thinks a notebook is a artbook, and also he doesnt read the size of the models when buying the game and you get 2 cd slots for beta cd and release dvd which will get sent out.

do i need to say anything more?

and why do you have a new account was your old one banned?

Recordings of my live stream.

Highlights in this one is Blue zerging of Kranesh (Outpost, no Guards. Reds usually hang out there.) 25 minutes.

25 minutes, around 14:00 or so, one of the blues goes grey, and some blues there (not with the raiding blue party) corner him and start punching him, and the raiding party don't know what to do since they are killing him and if they attack him....welll they get a murdercount. They ended up killing them. (Raiding party was fully geared....the other blues were naked punching)

1v1 combat. Naked mounted archer (me) vs Armored Mounted Archer (AI guy)

Starts at 9 minutes in. We both shot at each other mounted, and I realized I can't out damage on him (due to him wearing plate, and I being naked with a shitty bow, and he had a decent bow) So I get off my horse and use horse to attack to keep him moving so he would be hard to hit me while I shot at him sitting still. He tried to knock me down with his horse, so I used my horse to block him from doing so as it attacked him and I attacked him. He ended up running away almost dead. Tactics do matter. Gear does matter, but sometimes ya use your brain to overcome the enemy.

Thanks! Those are from before the switch to the new Engine. Do you have any recent ones? Or can you let me know when you are steaming next so I can watch? Honestly those videos didn't really make me want to play (quite the opposite), but I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
