Why type when I can quote exactly how I feel. ^_^b
No trial for Aion
Whoops.
Back when I quit they had a free trial which is why they had to disallowed certain things like tells etc till a certain level.(RMT spam counter) Guess they took that away, oh well.
Its way to easy to get bored in Aion. Plus your way behind the curve. Getting gear isn't as simple as getting drops in Aion its a constant grind or materials to forge or pvp points to get your stuff. You will be getting destroyed by the geared players if you can reach endgame.
AoC on the otherhand while fun had way to many technical probelms for me and they weren't doing anything about it. I could not play the game and have sound/music on without the game sputtering. Additionally I HATED the melee combat requiring you to press additional buttons to pull of skill combos. This led to some seriously fusterating PvP for me. Others love it though so if you can find yourself enjoying the combat then I would say AoC.

Both of the issues you list for AoC have been largely resolved. As of now, it is relatively bug free. On max settings (Dx9) I get 50-80 FPS. On Max settings on DX10 I get ~20 FPS. That's my comp's fault not AoC, though admittedly, the game isn't optimized for DX10. You'll need a great computer with CF or SLI configuration to take it to max.
As for the comb issues in PvP, Funcom listened to its subscribers and made a drastic change. Before, the longest combo you did was 5. Now the longest is 3. It is considerable easier in PvP to pull off combos. Only a relatively few combos require 3 hits. Vast majority of the combos require 1 or 2 hits.
