This is the stupidest news story ever, but I feel I must share it with you, because it made me laff. A kid in Norway used skills he'd learned from World of Warcraft to save his sister from a rampaging moose.
Hans Jorgen Olsen, 12, and his sister were walking through the woods in the central Norwegian town of Leksvik, and a rampaging moose noticed them and attacked. Thinking quickly, Hans taunted the deadly animal to take its attention off his sister, then, he hit "feign death" and played dead. The moose then lost interest and went off to terrorize other Norwegian children.
"When you reach level 30, you learn a trick called the fake death. That's what I did - I pretended I was dead, and then the moose lost interest," Hans said. "It went really well."
Whether Hans was able to collect the deer's antlers and bring it back to the quest giver is unknown.
I'm not sure this story is even true -- I mean, it's just an internet news report -- but it cracked me up, and I hope it will make your morning a bit brighter as well.

I would of just vanished... works better then Feign dead. When he feigned dead, his pet-sister should of gained aggro again. Hmmm, that moose must of been bugged.
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

Jules: You know the shows on TV?
Vincent: I don't watch TV.
Jules: Yeah, but, you are aware that there's an invention called television, and on this invention they show shows, right?

When did you start playing "old school" MMO's. World Of Warcraft?
That's a f$&*ing 50 DKP minus! What the f#&$ was that s*#%!
If you stand in the right f#%$ing place, there is NO way you are going to f&*$ing get into the goddamn mooses, whatever f$*%ing fear... tail swipe, whatever the f$*#! Okay?! It's like one in a f#&%ing million! From the f*$%ing north corner, to the central Norwegian town of Leksvik, into the f%&*ing moose cave, it's not even f#$*ing remotely imaginable!

ahahaahaaha
Another huntard/warrior combo taking all the glory. Sigh.
Just kidding, I played a Hunter. You show 'em Norweigan kid, you show 'em! Norway 1, moose 0.
I remember reading this years ago. Still funny.
That was something different but I just had to lmao for a good 10 min after reading this.
Nah .. frost nova ... arcane blast x 2 .... arcane missle ... the moose is dead. I wonder if i can find something blue in its stomach :P
LMFAO HAHAHAHA
Ok, this is really funny. Almost as good as this report I saw a while back, Hammer of Justice!
You have to wonder, if the boy was actually attacked and hurt, we could be having a riot about how games teach kinds the wrong things to do in life (threatening) situations....
They suspended a kid for 105 days for fighting? I remember getting 3 at the most.
That would be really funny to watch though. "Hammer of Justice" /pop

Rampaging moose... lmao
Norway must be Europe's Canada.
holy crap 105 days for a single punch??? i was only ever in 3 fights in all my years at school and i got the same amount each time, 3 days IN SCHOOL suspension, and more went on than 1 punch..lol
on a very sad note...did you notice the kid that was LARPing as a Paladin was in high school...lol i was picturing some cute little elementry school kid smackin his little friend in the mouth saying that..lol was dissappointed when i scrolled up and saw the letter was from high school..thats just sad ..
I'd have kicked his ass out permanently, after calling mental health officials.
What you guys are missing is the "Teacher Actions to Date" in the middle there. This wasn't his frist offence, who knows what shit the dumbass pulled the previous times.

It's not that hard to grasp, the teacher can do all those things on the same offence; he was talked to by the teacher, had his seat moved, had a phone call to the parents, a chat with the guidance counselor, and a 1-on-1 with the parents and teacher. Seems like that standard procedure from when I would get in trouble.
C'mon, you really think those are various levels of warning taking prior? No, they are "actions taken by teacher *now*".

LOL good point. I say throw the kid in jail for exploiting a bug!!!!
yeah thats how i read it, thats what was done about this offense. why would they list every PAST offence on a notice dealing with a NEW current offense.tho it looked like they had checked "vulgar language" so he mighta went off on the teacher after he got busted for it or something lol
Haven't you mistaken a really ugly kid for a Hordie before? I mean Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead... none of 'em are exactly good-looking. The kid just did his duty to the Alliance... unless he was a Blood Elf -_-.
They do.
It usualy says "repeat offenses" or "can't deal with him anymore" in the memo, and would have a lock of the teacher's hair that was ripped out stapled to it.

Note that he has vulgar language as a offense, yet in the written statement it doesn't mention that. It is possible they did document his past behavior on this document to justify the punishment for this offense. Seems logical they would review his record before deciding what to do, and marking that document gives them easy access for when the parents scream 105 days for one offense!!!!!
This way they can easily say he did this this and this, we tried this etc etc. Remember the parents are probably going to sue over this. I doubt they want the little bastard home all the time!
Also, did you notice the refering staff member was GM?
