To the original poster. What is your system specs?
Gigabyte 6800GT 256 MB, AMD 64 3000+, 1 gig pc 3200 ram. I play on pretty much everything maxed except no shadows, no flora, and no bloom. 1600x1200 resolution. Runs pretty good other then the cities, I have slow internet.
Not all of those are maxed though, I play on balanced in dungeons to reduce lag.

Interesting UI you've got...is that all doable in game with no 3rd party software?
I got all my UI mods from www.eq2interface.com. The game is set up for customizable UIs. I believe there's even UI builder software in the EQ2 folder on your hard drive. The site is linked to from the official EQ2 site, so it's not a "hack" or anything.
The player window, experience bar, smaller hotkeys, and chat boxes are all mods. The rest is just messing with options.
Thanks for the link Knox. Just got an awesome new Ui. Makes things so much easier and more organized.
Killed that big spider in Nek forest today for the first time. Sorry about the visual settings, I had it set to "ugly as hell" so I wouldn't lag. Also made some tweaks to my ever changing UI.
