Hey everyone. I got accepted into the beta but when i log into my account it doesnt say anything under notifications. Also when i log into the beta site attached to the link in the email that was sent I get this weird error saying :
You could not log in because the service account in question is not registered.
If you would like to log in to the service, please log in to the Square Enix Account Management System and register the service account.
Anyone have any idea as to what is going on?

There seems to be a bit of a wait period after you are accepted before you can actually access the alpha/beta site. Were you accepted today?
Chill they were probably just excited... I would be too... I hope i get invited.. furturemore if anyone gets in that doesn't care as much as i do PLEASE PM I will take your spot and love you forever.. I hate to beg but i'm not above that in this particular situation ^^
I had to register just to reply. I normally only lurk these forums for games that I'm specifically interested in and/or playing (which is quite rare because I just can't seem to get into most MMOs, at least the latest ones).
But excitement shouldn't lead to making a thread here. I was excited when I read my e-mail but I knew right away (by reading the e-mail) that the 2nd alpha stage doesn't start until the 9th.
Small correction!
The second phase has already begun, but not all of you get access to it at the same time. That depends on the day you received the e-mail.
well i got my email on june 1st and opened it on june 6th. I did read the email and it did say that the website would be open on the 7th but when i got to the website it said that beta testers could not log in. I just thought that it would of been under my notifcations on the square enix site.
I get the same error and have no account notifications as well, but like the others said attributed it to the fact that the site isn't available until 6/9.
In before "omg nda breakerz, ban now!" etc.
well , as i got accepted and i cant login either.. and today i got email , telling me beta testing dates.. i wont post them here probably thats under nda.. not that i rly care. it doesnt show anything, but it starts tomorrow.. while website supposed to open on 9.. and considering that beta testers website been open for ages now, since there are other testers who been testing before we got invited..
and considering that other ppl had date as 7.. and some as 9.. this all shaping to be huge fail.. they could atleast let us login.. download client.. and let us see the actuall testing dates..

Because it has the times for the whole week?
it have 3 dates and testing last only 4 hours ... second date is 10.. even if it opens on 9, and i have no clue how big game client is.. half testers with slower connection probably wont have client even for 10th event.. ( i know i would have, even if client was 20 gb. ) but that just proves that whole testing is mess
ouch this is discouraging to hear. I am really looking forward to this game, but if they can't even get it together for beta testing, it is definitely making mee more than a little bit nervous. I know it is still early, but someebody in the logistics department needs to be replaced imo.

testers website should been open to us, the day we got emails saying we were accepted, then we should been able to download and install client.. and after all that is done we could been waiting another week, till we actually can play.. as it is now.. we got invited to beta.. we get to wait a week till testers website open.. then we get to download client.. and hope to jump in into our alpha test..
so yes.. it is a mess..
So what makes it a mess, lol? Waiting a week? Downloading the client?

It's hard to understand where you're coming from when you don't make any sense.
you dont give up do you.. you had no problem understand what i was saying hour ago, and suddently ur at loss?
1: We cant login to beta testers website, which gives error that says our acc isnt registered.. could atleast have normal error msg, or let us login and stop with some "your time is not yet "screen .. now we got 235253 topics about this in various forums.. if you think that is right way to orgranize stuff.. i hope you will never be in charge of something like this..
2: we cant download client.. as i said for all i know client is 10-20gb.. and for many ppl that size will take a while ( not me but that doesnt matter )
3: we get testing schedule which we cant follow.. for reaons 1 and 2..
That is not how you organize testing or whole operation for the matter of fact.. ive tested pretty much every big mmo.. and even some smaller, and some f2p mmos.. and this is by far worst system yet..

Im guessin you guys are getting into the PC beta and not the PS3 one?
Because I signed up awhile back with my ff13 code and I could have sword I registered way before then for the pc beta and havent heard anything back. just curious if anyone that used the ff13 code got anything back from square.
Not yet. Once we get to test the beta version (which is more optimized than the Alpha version they're testing currently), PS3 testers will join in as well. Shouldn't be longer than a month, maybe a bit more.

Back in March they made a new "member login". If you didnt connect your existing account to the new system, you wont be able to log in.

this is in regaurds to your square enix account. Basically if you were a member before march 1 and didnt migrate/connect your account with the new square enix account, then you wont be able to access it which would keep you from logging into the beta site as well.
I don't know why people are discouraged by multiple dates and think the game is headed for disaster...SE is a Japanese company aiming for a global release, that is FFXIV players will be playing at the same time from NA, EU and JP. They are attempting to optimize the game at the same time in three different timezones and geographic locations so obviously the times and dates will be strange especially since they list them in GMT and are aiming for peak times for users of each particular region.
Also this is the second round of Alpha testing and things would point to a smoother ride since they improved stability towards the end of the first test...
So, it is june 9th the day I was suppose to be able to log in to the beta site yet everytime I try I still get

Maybe I just got a scam email or something? The email and the site in the email look legit, as it is the same site I have seen posted on other websites stating it was the legit site. I received the email the 4th and it says to sign in the 9th.
Only reason I am posting this early is I have read on other forums saying peple who had the same date are able to get into the beta website already. Just wondering is anyone here with the same date schedule was able to log in already.
It's almost 1 AM PST and I am also unable to log into the beta site. Says the same thing "Ur account is not registered Blah Blah". I agree with previous posters when they say that the beta is disorganized and a little confusing. But then again this is a Japanese made MMO so I'm thinking there may be some internal issues with trying to beta test it stateside. I really hope this is somewhat of a decent game, I like many of you out there am sick and tired of renewing and canceling the 300-Pound Gorilla known as WOW.
I'm not sure that has anything to do with it, people applied to beta using their SE ID and password, which are different from the SE members account's username and password. You can apply to beta and test everything without even having to create a members account as far as I know.
For the people who still can't log in, I'd try contacting customer support. That's where you needed to look first, you NDA breachers!
yo its mess kk now? on serious note, noone can login , its not like its just 10 ppl. and there is no support.. did you even attempted to use their support site..
