Its probably deactivated since i just myself caught site of the news that Lotro is going to go free2play this fall. Im somewhat glad i didnt spend the $ on a lifetime earlier this year but i kinda wonder how the current lifetime sub's are going to be thinking about this. I can see some not caring to much as they got their $'s worth and others that would be a bit not happy about it.
I had just been in lotro the other month playin for a bit to. Hopefully the whole free2play thing doesnt cause problems for the game.
Waiting For: FF14,Guild Wars2 RIP: Tabula Rasa&Hellgate:London(online) Playing:Fallen Earth&Guild Wars& Dragon Age
They removed it just as the game was about to live again -.-
Yeah sucked.
Cheap way of buying gamecards: g2play.net or offgamers.com
I always bought my gamecards/cd-keys those places, indeed good support and extremely fast delivery (5min+/-) and its way cheaper than regular stores and what not.
I got 2 months of lotro gametime for the price of 1 month through creditcard.
Or more likely, lifetime members will be screwed by the cash shop slightly less than other members.
Ok, if you feel you are getting screwed, sell your lifetime account or cancel it. There are plenty of people looking to buy the lifetime account right now.
In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.
Lifer's are going to make out and I'm glad I'm one. I'm a founder and I know I've gotten my moneys worth already but they really went out of their way to make us lifers not feel like we're being bent over, at least I don't feel that way. I don't think anyones going to get screwed here on this deal it sounds like the most annoying thing that's going to happen is we might wind up with a bunch of annoying wow kids.

This is a shame because one of the loveliest things about LoTRO for me was the wonderful community I found there.

The community will be the same with the exception of most likely the lower level areas. Get out past those areas and it will probably be the same as usual.

thank you! finally some one with common sense!
existing players who maintain subscriptions and/or have lifetime subscriptions will be automatically upgraded to VIP status and will be given 500 free game points per month, plus 500 free game points for each anniversry they have played.
So in my case, as a founder also, I'll get 1500 points upfront plus 500 per month. I plan on saving them up to pay for future paid expansions, unless there is something in the store I really want that makes life in game so much more convenient.

yep, most of us will probably want to stay away from Celondim, Bree, Michel Delving and Thorin's Hall, but it won't stop me...I'll just go in and turn off names, turn my graphics down a bit, and just do what I normally do. I might have to turn off chat or start using ignore more, but who cares?
I plan on still enjoying this game that I love so much no matter what. It's an attitude I have because after all, it is only a game, and games are supposed to be fun but it really is up to each of us to make it what it is, I think
I dont think LOTRO will end up with many whing kids longterm . Its just not a game that will appeal to them . We might get a few more immature adults .Although I doubt very much they will end up lasting in most kinships before they are kicked out .

As an EU'er there's still the option "Lifetime membership - No further subscription fees
110.00 inc. Tax - Welcome Back Offer".
Atleast there is for me.
