the onyl thing RYL has over other games is a really good combat system besides that it sucks
The game itself is average, the graphics are flat and dated; the grass in particular looks very fake (and that's about the only detail on the ground.. grass everywhere). The character designs look decent, but the landscape and environment is crap. The leveling is pretty boring, typical of grind mmorpgs. Parties work reasonably well, if you are lucky enough to find people that are willing to level with you. Eeveryone has their role set in stone, and some party members will have more fun than others (i.e.: healers only stay there and fire heal every 10 seconds). That's why finding a party is tricky sometimes; many of the essential support classes are undermanned because they are too boring to play and in-effective in PvP. PvP is decent and one of the few redeeming qualities of this game, although pretty much any other PvP mmorpg is equally good or better.
RYL itself is an asian mmorpg licensed to some obscure american publishers, who come across as really sleazy. They have open beta tests, why, I don't know, since they can't actually fix anything themselves; I'm pretty sure only the asian developers can. When I played, there a variety of bugs that kept resurfacing from update to update, and took forever to eliminate even after being reported a million times.
The support is also horrible, they rely on a bunch of volunteer GM and "Guides" who work for free, and needless to say you get what you pay for (aka nothing). They mostly spam the chat saying "please watch your language", jail people for swearing, and if you have a problem they'll point you to the official forums, where you might get lucky and have a fellow player help you, because these GMs and Guides are absolutely clueless. They don't even have a phone # you can call for support.
That 1 million $ thing is probably just a last pathetic attempt by the publishers to gain some more subscribers to this mediocre game doomed to obscurity. My advice is to stay away from it.
i actually think the game is great but my paretns are gay...anyways if people were helpful in games (like me) and not get all ass hurt when a noob asks how to attack or any other question of noobitity and actually help people. <---off topic...back to topic now well its a great game i would play it but my parents are gay

please remember that there are multiple distributions of this game. alot of people confuse the CiB distribution and the PWG version.

Lol could it be that the only reason for that rating is bcuz the publisher asked all you little fanboys to come on this site and vote it up? Ive seen it happen many times. The rating is based on like, 30 votes. Check out WoW (#1 mmorpg on mmorpg.com) rating, it's based on 30 000 votes or so. Once a few more people get duped into trying it out, that rating will plummet to the ground

Seriously, people need to think...First of all, it's not ever very likely for companies like these to scam...Secondly, all they really tell you is that there's a "competition" and a "prize of $1,000,000"...If you think for one second...It's an International competition...INTERNATIONAL,INTERNATIONAL,INTERNATIONAL
