Hi,
I played beta block A for some time, just two questions for other North Americans playing right now...
1. Is the latancy to the server bad, or is it not worth buying and playing as we will have a major disadvantage due to server response times?
2. Is the price in Euro's or British Pounds? I need to know as I am paying with Canadian funds if I decide to buy in.

Can't answer 1st question as i dont plan on playing this game.
14.25€ (including VAT) for customers from the EU and 14.25$ (no VAT) for everybody else.
right from the FAQ, so I would say it is safe to assume it will be $14.25 USD.. so like $16.00 CDN
Yep that sounds about right. The game itself is about $60 CDN. I had no issues from Southern Ontario but someone on the MO forums was complaining of 300+ latency. I would expect around 100 - 200 or so. maybe but that depends on your ISP and where you live. Canada is a big place
. They have a lot of the combat figured out client side (unfortunately) for hit detection I believe. Well. . it is a combo of both server and client but basically if you see that you hit someone. you hit them.
I know the game is touted as PvP. . but it is not twitch based so much like DF. It can get fast but is more realistic. so longer swing times etc.
