GW is a single player MMO

As a beta tester from forever ago and as a person who bought all the expansions the day of release, I'm disapointed.

I remember when Prophecies came out, it was just so populated, the chat channel had guild recruiting spam, item selling spam and people looking for group spam. Your focus was to get to that next hub that had a mission and find a full group to run through and do the mission and hopefully the bonus also. The grouping was amazing and you hardly ever used the henchman because they were completely retarded and did little to help.

Factions came out, I didn't really like the whole Factions area or most of the missions, but LOVED the Alliance Battles. I could sit there and play ABs over and over with random groups.

Then...Nightfall came out. It added in Heroes and for me...destroyed the game. Heroes pretty much made it possible to solo through alot of the content and it made finding groups harder and harder.

Now years after that, I log in hoping to run through some missions or maybe do some sort of item runs to find the chat empty, plenty of people running around, but obviously with a full party of Heroes. I hate the Hero addition and I wish we could just go back to it being a MMO, where MULTIPLE people group up to get through content.

I can only hope GW2 has SOME multiplayer content...

    Yepp im in the same situation as you are, i also played guildwars in beta and early release, but i got stuck in the WOW swamp :( and now came back hopeing to play with others, but only seeing people running around with heroes and dont play together. Im not in a guild so its a very lonely experince, and i cant even find a guild either since noone are recruting.

    I try to make these fun quests with henchmen and heroes myself, but get so angry becuse of the stupid AI, that needs 100% babysitting to not die. Im a little disapointed becuse i was hopping to play through all the campaings with bonus missions. But most importanly Eye of the north to get the achivements that go over into guildwars 2.

    i dont think that youve been hanging around mission outposts long enough to LFG

    i still find plenty of pe0ple LFGing, but at the back of my mind, i say, why LFG when you can do it Heroes/Henchies. 

    saying that GW is a single player MMO is sweeping statement

    Elite areas, like UW and FoW,  DoA, Deep, and Urgoz still needs to be manned.

    but if, like me, you're doing a mission on your 8th, 9th, 10th ALT, you just wanna go inside a mission fast and quick using H/H 

    if there's someone in that particular mission hub LFGing, i try to bring them along to help them out

    GW has given us an option to group or to solo, and not forcing us to one or the other

    just be patient LFGing ;)

    and get a good helpful guild dammit ^_^
