APB seems fun, but I'm curious as to how deep the gameplay will be. I'm not really talking about the immediate play of the game. But more the persistent world side of the game.
My biggest worry is that the game ends up being about as deep (persistant world wise) as Red Dead.
I LOVE Red Deads multi-player, and find it alot of fun. However, from a long-term stand point, its very shallow. This is perfectly fine for a console game, but not for a MMO like APB.
I'm wondering if there will be more to APB than these missions and PVP. Will guilds or "sides" (enforcers/criminals) actually end up competing over anything?
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

i had the same questions too as well.....Ive been doing alot of searching and all i can really come up with is PVP with a social lobby. No raids or group quests....just shoot the opposite team. We will find out in 12 hours....
Oh and plz dont mention red dead multiplayer because that multiplayer is the worst skilled based game ever made. Auto aim and radar. So i follow the radar to your exact loacation and use auto aim.....yea great skillz!
btw on red dead you can actually have hardcore and veteran skill modes. Although you have to be about rank 20 for hardcore and rank 50 for veteran. With veteran you have no aim assist whatsoever. But yeah.. that's if you have the patience to rank up that high. I just couldn't stand the autoaim in a competative environment,
yea i actually ranked to reach hardcore mode hopeing to actually use skill. Indeed the auto aim is off but the dam radar is still on. I literally did not push A to respawn and walked not run to see if i would invisible on radar.....i scaled a wall and noticed 2 guys running right by me.....then they both turned around and both looked up at the wall and shot me....Radar for the win! After that i realized....i gotta go back th pc gaming i cant stand this shit lol
Apart from jumping some fences and climbing ladders, I am comfortable to say that everything around you feels like a background like it wouldn't matter if there were boxes instead of buildings.
Also the missions have no creativity at all, aside from missing 90% of the fun if you don't have any friends or a good clan to play with.
I like the customization and graphics but that's about it.
For the beginning the Answer to your question would be Shallow. You have ranking and stuff. But no real clan gang wars. And i will never be anything other than a PvP game. Its not a classical MMO. Its a 3rd person shooter with very good customization and perstistent elements like ranks unlockables and stuff. Nothing really more.
Atleast thats the result of all stuff i have read in the forums. But i can´t say how the game is when it is released. Atleast they got from build 22 (0.9.2) Beta to build 32(1.2.something) for KTTC.
If its good or bad is up to You to decide. For me it will be good,
Any idea why that is? To me, San Andreas and Liberty City feel like real living breathing cities, but San Paro felt more like a shiny plastic Millennium City, where you could drive the toy cars and steal from the wind-up clone civilians. Didn't have the same feeling of depth at all as GTA cities, it was more like taking a high dive into a kiddy pool.
I'd say Red Dead MP is actually much deeper
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
