Didn't like the new show. Too many changes, too much drama, not enough action. This looks interesting though, I'll have to keep an eye on it for the time being.
browser based f2p with cash shop...pass.

I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?

Although I'm a big fan of BSG I'm not sure how it has the depth for a MMO, Caprica would be a better choice. I'm not sure i want to play a f2p browser based game either.
It does have the feel for more of a single player action RPG...ala...Wing Commander or even Homeworld.
As it is, it is an MMO. Much of what appears here of late are just MMOs, not MMORPGs. Yet, that is where the industry is heading and thus one cannot really fault mmorpg.com for reporting on it.

Can we see some actual in-game vids? It is nice CGI, but that is all it is, is a CGI. Let's see how the game actually plays.
F2P is a deal killer by itself.
However, the IP doesn't really lend itself to MMO play.
Well... Lets hope the game is better designed than the web site. I had to use IE8 to register, as it wasn't working with Firefox 3.6. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
well I cant get IE to work either.
I would have rather seen a Babylon 5 MMO in a REAL graphical setting, not browser based.

Just don't see BSG being a great MMO, it's not quite right for that. This just smells like someone trying to make a buck of a franchise name.
I won't elaborate, there are too many reasons why I've reached this conculsion, but to me, this is a flop in making.
I cannot believe this!
Just no depth for a MMO. Add in the browser based with item shop and you have a real loser. Amazing the money people are wasting on this genre trying to find a winner. Any investor with hands in this pie either likes to throw money away or got sucked in to a losing proposition.
Not being overly stuck-up and preffering content to packaging...I still say F2P/Item Mall = disaster and nerfing ripoffs. As to the mmo itself, I think basing it outside the actual show would be better, maybe "The tribes of Kobol" with the mmo taking place on the 12 colonies and involving rebuilding sandbox type play (Maybe a whole diff MMO off the francise actually). As to this one, I just don't think the limited scope has enough "things to do" for an mmo unless you are into FPS and one track games. (Probably explains the browser based thing). Just don't see a lot of substance possible for this...and I'm a huge BGS fan.
I happen to love both the old and the new BSG, but I think this will make STO look like a good game.
Loved the show. But how they gonna make a nonstinky game in such a short period of time? What magic MMO-making device do they have noone else does? Color me skeptical.
Another movie IP mmo... *sigh*
Wait, really? Did you even watch it?
Anyway, I'll be passing on this game. Browser based F2P doesn't interest me in the slightest.
f2p? Ouch. Browser base? Extra ouch.
Lazy devs.
