Game is buggy, alot....small content still...but the most fun i had in a game since long time...if they fix stuff its the most immersive mmorpg in the market...with better skill system then DF, better pvp system to now allow people to just pk anyone without consequences..you go explore the world, have to speak localy ask for directions...riding a horse feels right...speed, realism...horses actually ride mutch faster then running unlike DF, so you have a change and choice to either fight or run...
Horses have different speeds, in a few words even buggy and few content its fun game with huge potencial..lets hope SV has what it takes to fix the game...and put more stuff in.

good quality videos
MO's exploration is fantastic. Granted there is nothing there waiting for you as a reward, I still had a blast finding landmarks like in the vid. I always wanted to check out the southern isles but never did, is that where the giant tree in vid one is from? Wonder if you can harvest from it...

These videos are awesome...I think im going to actually get up $50 and go buy it right now.
I can't wait to get a horse and go exploring.. If only I knew how do get a horse.. hah
I've been spending my time mining ore and lumber, selling it and watching my attributes go up.
If you don't wanna mess with taming, you can buy horses from other players (there seems to be A LOT of people selling horses, but that probably depends on what town you're in). Just make sure you have the Riding skill... just keep trying to ride it until riding gets to 25 and it stops bucking you (it wont more than a couple minutes probably).
You can get a steppe horse (a good all-around horse) for about 50 silver, I've sold a few Mongrol horses (better than nothing) for 20 silver or so... it obviously depends on where you are and who you're dealing with, but it's usually worth the money
Do I have to feed my horse? And how would I do that? I may buy taming and go do it myself. I'd like to try out most of the skills... just to get an idea on how they work.
Heres some PvP action filmed yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-pUoPjkLnQ
I was suprised that that the server didn't lag much even though there were at least 50 people fighting.
Nice videos! Yeah, the performance on the server is really great!
As someone who clearly thins SV is a company with no integrity, and feels the game is broken- I can appreciate this post and respect the OP immensly.... I am (honesty) very glad you are having a blast and also that you yourself have the integrity to admit the game is buggy and that there are issues even though you love the game (even in its current state)
You are not a blind fanboy and have given an honest opinion and have been truthful.
/hats off.
oh my but graphics look so '99
is it just me or they went really low on poligons and textures and everything ?
This game is unique.
I have never watched a game where the graphics were both appealling and disappoint all within the same area.
Some of this could be because of the you-tube limitations, but it appears very primitive and empty to me. Here is what I see:
- the creature AI appears brain-dead. When the character is attacking the boar, it does nothing but walk until dead.
- I didn't see much details, no grass or bushes blowing in the wind, no trees swaying in the wind. Barren landscape in the foreground.
- little or no interesting things to see: I didn't see many caves, grottos, hidden towns, ruins, etc.

I've been using this on mobs since the very release and made hundreds of gold in a pretty quick time, I wasn't detected, for 5 days straight. I realized how broken and exploitable this game is and made my livestream public, so people can actually see the truth. And no, not everyone already knows that it's possible to hack in Mortal Online. At least 1/2 are denying that hacks exist. Even after proving this, they still deny. How blind can these fanboi's be?
Denial in the face of certain truth is never a good thing but maybe they just do not want the game they enjoy playing to be ruined by players such as yourself.
Making the stream public only serves as an outlet for more people to consider this exploit software. You would have been better off telling SV about the software via a support ticket or something similar.
The fact that not everyone knows it possible to hack in MO can only be a good thing surely?

Good idea about trying out the skills, I think both the horse herder and scout backgrounds start with domestication and taming if you just wanna roll another character.
To feed your horse all you gotta do is type "feed" in chat; feeding horses raises a couple HP and boosts loyalty.
To heal your horse a bit more just type "bandage" in chat.
For now there's no objects required to feed/bandage, it just has a pretty long cooldown. Oh, and don't forget that when on a horse, you press forward once to start the horse walking, you dont' need to hold it down. Keep tapping foward to increase speed. careful in towns, if you knock someone over while running you get grey-flagged... either walk your horse, or dismount and have the horse follow you when you're in town and you'll be ok.
good luck
Yes, that is a valid point that I agree with.
Not sure I agree with Jasdiva about actually telling people how to cheat/hack though.
The hacke / cheats have been in there since block A and they haven't patched them out yet. Why you ask? Well just like DF the game mainly runs client side so it is a trivial matter to hack/cheat the game.
The ohly way they can stop it is to have good online monitoring but when your whole company is 20 people it would be a Herculean task to do so. All you can ask is that players turn in hackers and that SV has the ability to go back thru logs and verify the hacks/cheats.
Unfortunately with the level of programming that has been shown for the last 10 months I don't believe that is possible, ohly time will tell.
"If you were as smart as you think you are, you would realize that you are an idiot"
It's kind of funny too, but it's reasonably easy to find out that they have no hack detection/prevention software running in their code whatsoever.
I do love how much they lie about their ability to detect hackers though.
I think something was lost in translation. I think what they meant to say was that they have the ability to detect hacking complaint threads on their forum and delete them! I was watching two threads today where people were complaining about the ramant hacks. Guess what happened to them? POOF...
Best part is... Sebastian had posted in one of them. I'm sure he could have locked or deleted it if he wanted...
Hey.. it's their forum and I would probably do the same thing... but let's face it, censoring customers complaining about the hacks isn't going to help in the long run.
PS: To head off the naysayers who will ask for proof.. Right off the DevTracker...
Mortal Online hacks???

Anti-hack systems will for obvious reason never show up in patch-notes.
And no, we don't f-around perma-ban is the only ban for stuff like this.
I'm not a fanboy, I'm just touching on some of your points..
The creature AI is certainly brain-dead. You're right. Sometimes they will attack, sometimes they won't. And if they do attack, sometimes they will attack in the opposite direction. I'm sure it will be fixed over time. Let's hope it's sooner rather than later.
True, there are some areas that aren't very detailed, however theree are some cities that are a lot more detailed. I'm sure this will be looked at down the road to give a bit more immersion to the player. Their speedtree system is not currently in the game. They claim that it's in their plans, so when that is introduced you should see a lot of swaying trees and a lot more foilage on the ground.
Also remember that there is house placement. Some of these empty areas will be spruced up with player housing and guild housing. And there certainly are quite a few interesting areas to find, you just have to find them. Just because you didn't see it in the video doesn't mean that it isn't there.
It takes a pretty nice computer to run everything at max. And to think that they haven't opened up all of the option yet.
I see the flying pig bug has yet to be exterminated . . .
Thats because some people said the game would only release when pigs fly....
ROFL!
