Morning all (11:29 here in the uk *Yawn*)
So I took a dive in to Aion and started a warrior and branched out in to the Gladiator class. I'm currently only level 15.
Just wondering what stats and gear I should be looking out for?
Also any tips to making leveling and solo questions easier/ more fun?
and finally ....
Any decent websites out there with guides/tips for new players like me?
Cheers for any tips and advice.

as for advice, I have none (just started playing Aion).
but you should check out http://www.aionarmory.com/
nice quest guides, and a HUGE item, skill, npc e.t.c database!
Gladiator is a great class and powerful in pvp with the right gear. Ankle Snare is your friend Level with a 2hnd greatsword and dont forget they added the weapon fusing last week so you can merge 2 greatswords into 1 more powerful ones, but the cost is high. I would consider doing this if you get to around level 30.
What do suggest looking for gearwise? Stats and stuff.
Cheers,
You dont need to worry about gear much until around 30, but even then most gear doesnt offer much stat wise(you just get basic stats like phy def, evasion, etc) so just wear green plate armor all the way to 30. However the better the weapon the more damage you do so thats far more important then any of the armor you have on at these levels and its why its important around 30 to fuse 2 weapons for even more dmg. The only advantage to blue armor over say green is it might have 1 more manastone slot. As for stats +crit is primary, +atk is secondary and +hp is third. Crit caps out at 440 so once you get the cap focus on +atk. Also as a glad you will need a lot of health pots so you might want to checkout alchemy and saving the necessary ingredients to make your own which you can do very easily at level 20 alchemy. Make sure you check out Aionsource.com

Thanks for the heads up i'll make sure I look in to alchemy !
Just turned level 16 and out of doable quests Ive probs just missed one or two. Guess im used to the wow style of questing
"oh a quest"
"kill 30 of these"
"no thanks SKIP"
Dosen't really look like you can go that in this game.
Cheers
Crit, attack, and accuracy. Pdef is largely useless -- for every 10 points of pdef you mitigate 1 point of damage. You're going to have a lot of downtime (actually not much if you chug pots, but that's awful spendy for a new character). Carry pots and Odella powder with you everywhere you go. I've leveled five characters to 30, Glad being one of them. I got him to 40 and decided it wasn't for me. Try to keep your weapon as up to date as possible. It is by far one of the most gear dependent classes in the game. With good gear Glads are hulking juggernauts demolishing everything in their path.
In terms of leveling, you just gotta get out there and do it. By 20 you'll be running into PVP, which is always something to keep you on your toes. I'm sure someone will call me a carebear, but if you want to have any dignity, don't bother grinding in the Abyss until you have your skills and gear situated. Gather every resource node you see to make some kinah.

Aion is a fun albeit sometimes infuriating game. Just don't get too tied up into zerging to end game and enjoy the journey.
