How is the population because I heard they were merging servers?

And would it even be wise to resub with cata justa round the corner?

And is it still just a boring grind with some pvp thrown into it? Has any good, let's even call it decent PVE content been added?

Wondering the same thing before I come back as well... FFXI isn't running good on my laptop so looking for other options maybe.

FFXI is an older game. If you are having trouble running a game on low specs from 2003 then I don't think a game released in 2009 is going to run better, let alone Aion's primary feature is it's graphics. This is just a hunch though.

As for Aion, Population isn't terrible as I was just playing last month, however the boring grind to end-game doesn't seem worth it. I guess I am just not a big enough fan of PvP. Atleast not the way Aion does it.

Oh my problem with FFXI is a compaitability issue. Nvidia did not release a support driver for FFXI with the new Nvidia Geforce 360M GPU

The population is somewhat stable right now, there is a almost noticeable increase in subs since 1.9 came out, although since there is 2 sides, it makes the populations seem really small since its divided in half basically. I would just gestamate that the server pops can be between 1k-4k at any given time, generally being closer to the 1.5-2k area. Of course this is just a guess based on the amount of people I think would have to be on to fill the amount of people I see talking and walking around. Hope that helps
