For those of you who have either not yet done so, or are STILL downloading the patches via the MO patcher then Please Read!!...
I've been downloading the patches using the MO patcher since 5:00am, which was nearly 17 hours ago.. During that time I've washed my car, cleaned the house, did a few errands, made and cleaned up dinner and also I've been reading all over the web where people are highly suggesting we can all speed up downloading if we used torrent instead of the MO Patcher.. Well.. Granted I wouldn't have got to do all those needed chores if I'd done this at first.. but assuming you want to get in the game as fast as possible.. then read on..
10 minutes ago I was sitting here staring at my patcher showing the same file it's been working on for the last 10 hours and which I'm only half way done with.. the file is called MO162625to162736.exe... and the MO patcher was getting about 8kbps...
So.. with nothing better to do.. I decided to just try downloading this same file through Torrent.. and OMG!! Immediately I got up to 1.5mbps download rate and from it's saying the entire 1.92GB file will be down in about 20 minutes... GEEZ I am dumb for not doing this hours ago!!!
So... If you're still downloading the patches via the MO patcher.. then I'd highly suggest you give the torrent route a try.. You might just be in the game a day and a half earlier than you would have. All the torrent filies you need are located in your <game folder>patches folder. Or you can just allow the MO patcher to start downloading the next file it needs, then add that torrent into your torrent client and then stop the MO patcher to allow Torrent to complete the download. Then copy the patch into the MO game folder then execute and let it patch the game.
Update: The file completed download through BitTorrent during the time it took me to write this post..
* I have a small question on this though..Once the file was downloaded.. Instead of launching the game to see if the latest patch would automatically start installing.. I copied the patch into the Mortal Online folder and executed the patch and the MO patcher didn't open but my task manager shows the patch listed in the processes tab.. So is it patching ??
Sorry for the long post but thanks for reading...

I remember having issues with the patcher like that too (in beta), until I went into the options menu in the interface and set bandwidth limits that were set to zero at default. Maybe yours are just real low or something like that.

Well actually the patcher is downloading the same torrents, the difference is that uTorrent (or whatever torrent app you use) is not as dumb as their built-in torrent program. But even if you get the stupid game downloaded, it won't do you any good since the game server only works part-time...I guess they couldn't afford that full-time server.

It's hard to say since I never stopped the MO Patcher once I started it.. but now I have another problem.. hopefully someone can help w/out me having to start another thread...
So I now have these 2 last patches downloaded (using bittorrent on both).. and copied them into my MO game folder and executed the one I first wrote about.. but upon executing it... nothing happened.. the file being an .exe showed up in my Task Manager but with 00 CPU usage.. and I let it sit like that for about meh.. 10 minutes?? Then I closed the processing tree on it and ran the MO Patcher again... Instead of doing what I hoped it would do and realize I had the full latest patch available for install.. it seemed instead to be satisfied it was there and It just jumped to the next needed patch and started downloading it..
Anyway.. now that both and I guess the last 2 patches are downloaded.. what do I do with them to make them install into the game??
Copy the first one in the list to the correct dirctory...start the patcher and let it run the exe file, then when it starts the next update, close the patcher, copy the completed file you have over to the correct directory and start the patcher up again. It's better to let the patcher run the installs, because a couple of them don't want to work correctly if you run them (or they didn't for me). Also, if you are using Win7, give it a few secs after the copy is completed before you launch the patcher...it seems to take a second or two to reindex. One other thing...you may want to make a copy of all those patches so you don't have to redownload them if you have to reinstall. That way you can just copy them back one at a time and run the patcher to install them.
