Recommend me a PvP game.

Currently playing World of Warcraft. Enjoy the game because of the PvE. I don't enjoy arena playstyle PvP. The best PvP, I think, is world PvP while leveling. I've tried EVE Online numerous times, but it never stuck. I'd roam 0.0 for hours, literally hours, scanning for people. Once I found someone the fight would last < 10 seconds and I'd be sent 40+ jumps back to where my clone was.

So I'm looking for something with easier access to PvP than EVE. I played Lineage ][ for a few years on and off and I really enjoyed that; I only participated in one castle siege. But I shared and account with three people for about three years. Eventually the account got sold and I really don't want to restart again; especially with private servers so easily accessible.

I recently bought Aion and played that for a few hours overall. I can't get into that for some reason. I've tried again and again and it just doesn't feel right.

I'm also looking for something where gear doesn't completely decide who wins. Sure, it should factor in, but quick reactions and good communication between other teammates should be the ultimate deciding factor. As well as objectives. Something on the idea of Wintergrasp or Castle Sieges. I want to fight both small battles between a few players and larger battles between guilds/clans/realms.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for reading.

I would recommend All Points Bulletin or Team Fortress 2.

Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

I would say Dark Age of Camelot, but thats more or less dead.

Seems like you're looking for Darkfall.

Well if you do not want a pure FPS, or some kiddy battleground crap like SW TOR or WOW, and you do not want a autoclickIWIN game that measures your characterskill but not FPS skill, then try darkfall.

    Hardcore, harsh, Open, Full loot.

Problems with the game, hopefully will get addressed, imbalanced between different combat styles( prestige classes, magic nerf will fix most of it), and the grind should be getting easier soon, at least I hope for newbs sake.

But hands down best pvp mmorpg game on the market I ever played. Skill matters, takes a lot of twitch skill if you play like me(bow/melee).

If you have a hardcore playstyle then Darkfall

If you are more casual then DAOC

Everything else is kind of meh compared to those two

Well, there are a few games...

DFO and MO both have full loot and open world PvP. People tend to either hate or love them, ganking is severe and the full loot system do tend to annoy many people but both are worth a try if you like the idea of full loot.

AoC is probably the best alternative (not counting ancient games like DaoC) if you want something more traditional. It is also somewhat ganky on the PvP servers (PvE servers have sieges, minigames and a borderlands open PvP) but it is hard to get open PvP without that.

TCoS is actually also worth a look...
