Sure it's a trailor and not gameplay... But it does a lot to show the world that we're about to throw ourselves into. It shows the depth, the story. It shows, most importantly, exactly what i wanted to see! I cannot wait for this game!

actually probably not...bioware LOVES to drop hints into their pictures and videos....its their modus operandi.
Cinematic fighting: not sure what this means...but all the moves in game are mo-cap
there have been hints (if i remember correctly) that there might be finishing animations
scars: toons are highly customizable, so possibly
interaction with the world: Sort of confirmed in that there will be events and quests which will influence the game and population
space: given, but to what degree remains to be seen
Large world: already confirmed by bioware the worlds will be huge, exploration will be a major part of the game, and that it will be 90% non instanced.

The trailor was cool, but trailors show absolutely nothing about the actual game. I thought the trailor for WAR was pretty awesome too, and we know how that turned out.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike Loved: Star Wars Galaxies Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
I loved the Trailer but was disappointed at the same time... I first saw it and was like "Yeh! They're showing how awesome it is to be someone other than a Jedi! Look at him whoop sith arse!" But then he gets whooped and out of nowhere a Jedi comes and takes down squads of sith and Pwns the hell out of the main Sith... I was hoping they'd show more of how awesome it is to be other classes cuz I'm sure for every kiddo will roll a Jedi/Sith especially seeing how awesome the chick was in the Video.

The difference? Bioware!!!!
And a better game engine to develop TOR with. A dev is only as good as the tools that they're using and the HeroEngine is as good, if not better than any game engine in the MMO market today. They can do things with that engine that they simply couldn't do with other engines. I think that's the reason that so many MMO's have been so disappointing is that they're using outdated game engines. If TOR is the success that I hope that it will be then I think you'll see MMO devs ditching the old engines and either developing their own engines or licensing the HeroEngine.

The difference? This is Biowares first mmorpg attempt, Mythic actually had experience with that type of game. My point? You cannot necessarily rely a dev studio to keep producing the same results with every project, even of different genres.
While the chance that it will be a decent mmorpg is high, Abrahamm hits the nail on the head. It can still not follow up with the hype. The problem I have with this trailer is that, while its good and probably made by a contracted company in Santa Monica, it doesnt relect on the art style of the game and the gameplay is still fairly unknown.

Not really, Bioware did this with their last CGI trailer.
Gee, that was a really nice trailer. When's that game coming out?
So now, where's the cartoon one showing KotOR?

1) Bioware did not produce any of this or last year's trailer; both trailers were made by an outside company hired by Lucas Arts called Blur Entertainment. The graphics were outstanding and Blur deserves a thumbs up!
2) Could LA & Blur try to recycle some more unoriginal soundtrack? At least come up with something new & original instead of borrowing something played over & over during Episodes I , II and III. Thumbs down on this one!
3) Could Blur & LA possibly mimick the backdrop concepts and action sequences from popular movies they did not create some more? SWTOR trailer utilizes direct takes from Gladiator while the Force Unleashed II trailer blatantly steals from The Matrix Reloaded (think about multiple Agent Smith's scene). Big thumbs down on this one!

4) This game is definitely getting overhyped...
Wow, you really hate Bioware and SW, how about do us all a favor and head back to whatever other forum you crawled out of.
1. Decieved was a much cooler trailer. Maybe it was the first which has something to do with it, but I enjoyed Decieved much more.
2. Who said Jedi are stronger than Sith? Contraire, the Jedi have been wtfpwned how many times? Let's not forget it takes a Jedi + several clones to bring a newly made Darth (Malgus) in this trailer down....and he's not even dead there.
I was not joking, although the hints I see may not be true, but they have alreadly talked about how the combat would look cool, (lightsabers hitting eachother, blocking bullets/ missles)
Very interesting trailer, and I cant wait to see the demo later today.

Too bad it's a trailer and not a game

*shrug* I like this trailer better than most of the Star Wars ep 1, 2, and 3 movies.
yeah too bad it is a trailer
not really a fan of the game series, but this trailer was cool as fuck.
My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the trailer, the previous one I enjoyed a lot was for the urn of sacred ashes (dao).
However, trailers are lightyears away from the actual gameplay

G4 is going to be showing game play tomorrow at 5, not sure if that is eastern or not.
Bogie
Corellian Run
Jedi Sentinel
Holy shit, that was better than all the movies combined!
I know the game can't be like that, but damn! That's fine work.
That was truely what i'd call epic man!

Just got an email linking the trailer. I officially need a towel.
Bioware are quite good at hype management.
Make it so...

That girl is one bad*** Jedi. Or perhaps that Sith was just weak. Either way, awesome trailer. I can't wait to see the gameplay vid tomorrow.
I would watch these as movies, if they were ever made, far better than ep. I and II. I actually enjoyed 3
