I know that i will get a lot of flaming for this and it might not be a bad thing but.... I think the graphics look a lot like WoW's. The trees look exactly the same, the places remind me of places in WoW... I don't know, and it's not a turn off but it seems just by the trailer that thing is WoW in a FPS style game.

Here's to hoping they do it right!

It definetly looks like they are taking MMO's to the next level. Can't wait to see more. Could be big as long as Mystic don't get their hands on it.

Not really flaming, but think about this for a moment.  Blizzard ripped off Games Workshop.  Warcraft and Starcraft both pulled off of WH/WH40K respectively.  So to some, it will look like any game is ripping off WoW... when it is simply the other way around.

It was a trip when people called WAR a WoW clone... such lulz...

I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?

If you watch it few more times you will see it more like WAR than Wow.

WoW was originally made for the Warhammer IP, Games Workshop backed out at the last minute (owned?) and lost themselves a shit ton of money for it.

To me the art is very Warhammerish. The IP warhammer not the failed warhammer MMO. Of course lots of people can make good trailers...still doesnt mean the game will be any good but here is to hoping they do something with the IP.

Like others said, it looks too much like WoW/WAR for me to get too pumped up. Hopefully, the gameplay will make up for that flaw.

Warhammer board game is nothing like WoW or WAR. Not sure how you can even make that comparison.

    Disappointed with the art style.

I've got no problem with WoW's graphics, but this is Warhammer 40K!  The grim future!  I was hoping for something more like a sci-fi version of Age of Conan (graphics wise).  Dark and gritty.

Nurgle's daemon looked a bit cartoony, but the rest seemed fine to me. Most companies are going with a slightly stylized realism slant nowadays, especially since they want MMOs to be available to the widest possible range of people. Still, I'd be happy if it looked more like Dawn of War II, but again, it could be much worse.

I don't mind the cartoony graphics, i personally don't see any difference between the style and DoW. Hey, atleast it isn't clone wars like with baseball sabres.

Thats you come back that I typoed Mythic. You must have been great on your debate team.

If your going to flame a typo you might want to add some more content to your argument and spell If correctly.

That's really how I feel. I mean I can see some cartoonyness, but as long as heads explode and guts fly out, it's 40k.

Still in early stages, trailer is short and I do not know anything about it, so it is difficult to give any opinion... I hope it bring us a very fast paced MMOFPS action, with tons of players and vehicles all around :D

Something makes me think less FPS and more DDO style of combat.  Which is kind of a hybrid FPS.

I have my fingers crossed that it will be closer to Planetside gameplay with a (small) PVE experience and some large PVP fields. Like DAoC.

  • BeanpuieBeanpuie Member UncommonPosts: 812

no...  not one hint of planetside in this one.

If its not Tab and target based, then we'll see.
