Second life and Project Entropia are the only two successful real economy games on the market. Both are very hard to actually get money from without spending any. Basically like survey taking from home or for nexon cash.
i wish i could stay in second life but the texture loads rly slow.. sometimes it takes like 20 minutes before the ground gets the color its supposed to be and since you teleport alot to diffrent places in second life having a full grey screen that load textures one by one is just to slow..
its very weard since i can play high end graphics games on my comp but second life just doesnt..

Since EVERYTHING is player created, you download the game dynamically. No matter how powerful your machine (past being able to run it), it really depends on your internet connection. The only thing that really helps is increasing your cache and lowering view distance, but if your connection is still s*** then it's still going to run like s***.
I love SL, but where I'm at currently my internet is complete BS (1.1mbps shared among 15+ ppl), so I can't play. I can get 3g from connecting my laptop to my iPhone, but the ping is 900ms making it virtually worthless for anything other than large downloads.
entropia runs smoothly but the game playerbase = low and i just dont like how the game works i prefer second life its graphics are worse but the damn textures just load so slow causing lagg

but all online games have to load textures fine.. i play fps games on low ping my younger sister always played There (wich doesnt exist anymore) what is almost the same like second life

I don't think you understand.
Most games, the textures and all the 3D shapes, the animations, the sounds, and everything else from the entire game are installed onto your computer.
In Second Life, you download them as you see them. Therefore making it a question of your internet connection, rather than your computer's power. The SL client is only 23mb, compare that to WoW's 8gb.

and that is the only way? when i download something i mostly download around 1/1,2mb a second or is that diffrend?..
it sucks that they didnt made it so that evrithing firsts loads (downloads) before you avatar is in the room it only makes it slower this way. i dont see the need why my comp would take 20 minutes to download a ground color that fully brown.

Oh ok, you're just exaggerating a little then. But, you're not just downloading textures, you're downloading EVERYTHING, even the objects themselves. It does take a few seconds when you go to a new area, but most if the entire region downloads at the same time. (You might be able to adjust that too... maybe).
I do agree with you though, it's pretty annoying at times. I wish there was an option to pre-download a region before you ever Teleport there.
I forgot, there is also an option to increase the download speed in game.
If you like SL, there is another game coming out called Blue Mars. It's still in beta/alpha stage, but from what I've seen it looks pretty good. You do download an area before you get to it in that game. I honestly don't think it's going to be anywhere near as successful as SL though, because it just simply doesn't have the accessible content creation that Second Life has. You have to be an actual programmer and 3D Artist to be a content creator. In Second Life, you only have to be that to be a successful content creator.
In any case though, like someone said earlier.... I hope you aren't looking for a RMT to make money. I personally like RMT because they are basically a better F2P model than the traditional item malls. As a player, you can spend alot less money than a Traditional F2P game and as a developer, you have players who spend much more than a traditional F2P game. Over the last few months when I started SL, I've probably put in close to $100, but it's all been in small chunks and I plenty left over. The only reason I spent so much, was because I was new to the game and I needed that in game money to have more fun exploring, finding out what I wanted to do in the game.
thx for ur help i asked someone ingame and my problem is fixed..
and blue mars does look nice ill check it out someday.
some1 in game told me to use a third party vieuwer (can be found on sl main page and is legal)
there are more but i just download emerald vieuwer and the textures load alot faster!
Heh. I never noticed a big difference in the speed of the Viewers. Most people who use the 3rd parties, use Emerald. I usually alternate between Emerald & Snowglobe, but when I'm just hanging out in a club chatting I like the LL Viewer 2.
wish could remember the name read in the newspaper about a year ago that there were a FPS game in the works, that would work sorta like online gambling, like poker....play against each other for money, game client take afew $$$ each match. hm maybe shouldnt be lazy n try find a link for it p

That was the impression I got reading about Project Ent.
Being on disability, I have all the time in the world to devote to gaming. If I felt PE would be fun, coupled with a way to make extra money, I might try it out.
Not to say other dont enjoy it....or that some dont make money. I just dont feel it is the rule of thumb.
BTW Tavvra....what is that pic of in your sig?
Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.
