Awsome so far, im just concerned if im gonna get lagged, 200ms in a action game is NO game at all >.<
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
I was excited about this title. Dunno why, seeing the new Guild Wars 2 warrior video and the Warhammer 40k mmo trailer . . . this game seems kinda "meh" now. Still gonna play it though.
I am way more excited about Tera than either of those games.
How original, another wow/asian grinder where bosses just stand there and do nothing except suck up DPS.
P.S. I just read that TERA has zones like GW and AOC but is claiming to be a next gen title?
Seems to me drumchannell, you are just throwing a bunch of darts out there and hoping one hits. What you said is nothing even near to what TERA really is. I happened to have went to E3 and went into the private booths and tried this game out.
Just because a game has zones like GW and AOC why can it not be a new generation of MMORPG? Are you suggesting that games should no longer have zones, and characters should just float in space?
To the point this is going to be the first MMORPG thats coming out, that will be full of real time action, instead of standing still and hacking away at the monster like a typical MMORPG.
If you don't know anything about the game, or even seen any videos don't post. I rest my case.
Owned haha
Zam did a very good interview that really shows what Tera is about. You can watch that video here:
Some highlights:
- Non target based next gen action combat so where you aim is where your damage goes.
- Reinvited healing mechanics
- Huge seamless open world with only named bosses in the instances
- Player proficiency at the combat system determines how well you can solo
- Tera is a Sandbox MMO
The biggest thing Tera offers is the devs themselves who actually talking to the community and listening to our suggestions. How often do you see that level of communication in a MMO?
