Best Class to pick

iam starting to get interested in WOW but dont know which char is the best to pick. any suggestion on the best char? please dont said each character have their own unique skills, i just want to know the best character overall. thanks

IMO,
Palys are good but once they reach about 40+ their opponents get harder, like in my opinion, a lvl 60 priest and take a level 60 paly.
If you want powerhouse ownage, go shaman.. but I think they'er going to get nerfed pretty soon.
Driuds suck right now, but people are saying blizzard is going to tweak them up. Paly's are still extremly strong though. They'er an easy class to own with. Every class can own in pvp, but the easiest to kill with would be Shaman and Paly.

Pick warrior.
well it really does depend on your playstyle... rogues and paladins are best for melee style... shamans rock if you like plenty of spellcasting mixed with some melee... and spellcasters are spellcasters, mages/warlocks are great if you enjoy just spellcasting with no real melee. warriors are tricky to play (i have one, i know) and hunters are fun but not the best in any category really.

Well as you said absolutly nothing about what you want to do in the game, I'll suggest Pally as it's possibley the easiest class to get into, one of the hardest to kill, and we allready know most people who play the class are stupid.

i'd say go for druid.
And here is why. Druid weak? pah! at least not in the first 25th levels! Maybe later on but i am completely satisfied with my druid so far, yeah, even cat form, they should call it "killing machine form".
So why pick druid as many says it sucks? simple, it doesn't at low levels and gives you chance to experiment at least 2 playstyles relativly easy (Healer/low nuker and warrior) at level 10. if you keep it to level 20, you can experiment with what a rogue would feel like. (the basics, just the basics).
Also keep in mind Druid's strength is in shapeshifting. Nuke the enemy, DoT him, debuff him and then go Bear, smash him to bits and if you need, back to human for quick heal and back to bear.
Cat form fits there too, especially for ambushes.

Shaman can do the same but without the need of shapeshifting.
If the OP really wants the best got Rogue or Shaman ATM. It might change in teh future but these 2 classes are the top ones atm. Personally I find Rogues too button intensive and like being hybrid so I'd say shaman for the win.
I dont play shaman, I cannot play alongside taurens, have my reasons.
Hmm why not give us also your log in name and passward so we can level up your character we can even make a poll to see what you should name your new character and while we are at it, give us your address and we will get you dinner and even feed you......
christ.... not only did you not tell us anything about what you are looking for in a character but just because more people like 1 class, doesn't mean it is better for you.
I say go for mage all the way man, and don't say mages suck because they dont, i was able to beat a a guy 5+ levels higer then me, grrr dont say that sucks
and if you do be a mage go for fire build!

yeah, a mage is a real source of power. it can deal out a serious amount of dmg and it's always cool to see the casting animation. it has access to the best offensife spells and has only one downside: low health and armor, but if you're any good of a gamer and you're getting the hang of nuking your opponent from afar, this will not pose to be a problem.
ps: don't take paladin. there are already to much of them around ( +-50% on argent dawn).+ they're overpowered. this may be fun for a while but in the end it'll get boring.
Take paladin, he is really good tanking hero with healing, divine shield, defensive aura, lay on hands. He has all abilities like in W3 and much more. Paladin with good speed is never boring.
wel personelly i went warlock because they have cool spells and because they can use swords and wands for melee attacks. Unlike a mage witch can only use a wand offensive , defensive and arcane spells.
A paladin is good for melee attacks and knows a lot of buffs but doesnt have te spell skils of a mage .
i chose warlock because its a mix of these two.
I've played all the classes to 20 and I say, try them all, find out what you like, I personally am using my Warrior and Druid as my mains, but had a lot of fun with my Mage and Shaman.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
Not flaming but i have 2 things to say.
1.) Why do people ask others what to play?
-I mean can't anyone jsut sorta pick a class for them selfs? I mean saying that there is also no, "BEST" class cause say to me a warrior is best, for someone else, a preist. so why ask other peopel what to play. Just play a class from 1-10 and see if you can standf it from there and see if you even like it.
2.) Why do peopel answer these posts?
-I mean if someone has to ask what class to play, why do you need to answer? I mean if they don't know what to play then I guess they shouldn't play or its jsut there problem. I mean that is seriously a problem if you can't play a game on your own.
But other then that I am not flaming, I am jsut saying an opinion. So any of you go ahead and flame me because this is my opinion and it will not change no matter what you say.
But yeah, Jsut do some research on all the classes and there talents and stuff and see if you like that sorta style of play.
