Just bought it via the $5 promotion, but it appears the server is down. Was curious to hear from others that have been playing this regularly. How is it?

I used to be an avid player of this game. I'm still a great supporter of KODC but I don't play anymore. The game was very fun, even addicting but the official server needs more active players, simple.
I had a great time soloing and it's a great game even if a lot of players are not online. NSG is a small company and a small team behind the game so take it for what it's worth. I bought the game when it was $39.95 and enjoyed the game then with no regrets.
I've moved on to other games but I'll always be around to show support as KODC is one of my fav mmos. I'll answer any questions the best I can. I also check the boards from time to time so I'll be around...

I also just bought it as it sounds good and i play anarchy online so graphics dont bother me, but im confused as it says lifetime but yet download has a 30 day limit?.

I think they were looking for a new server host last winter, and have had some problems.
If you ever run out of downloads, just contact them, they will always help you. They were always helpful. Yeah, it's lifetime membership by the way so you should never worry about not being able to play after you buy the game.
I may check in the game sometime just to help any new players (if people happen to still be playing). I'm not sure how the server is doing, but last I played it was smooth as butter. They are looking for partners to expand the game but I'm not sure the over all plans for that.
I enjoyed it, it's a fun game but read some of the reviews here as they make good points. I did not write a review and decided not to as I'm over opinionated at times.

What level/sec rating did you reach? The current rankings for the last seven days shows the leader, Hunter, at lvl 42 sec 220+.
I'm still fumbling about at level 5 and just got my first C3 armor set. Feels nice to be able to survive longer in fights.
On this server, I'm level 8 but was level 20 on the last one.

I haven't played in a long time. Does anyone still play? I would like to team up sometime. I'm taking a break from wow (bored).
