Should I add that to my 'no' list?

Bioware is a cinematic single-player gaming company.

Where is the evidence that SWTOR is going to be a product where thousands of players are cooperating and competing together and against each other (as opposed to simultaneously) in a massively-multiplayer and being able to game-out the Star Wars lifestyle?

    • No Plyable Wookies.

    • No durability on equipment of items.

    • No crafting.

    • No resource control.

    • No non-combat professions.

    • No housing or vendoring.

    • No space flight or control.

    • No Star Wars, or space combat.

    • No Space station building.

    • No open-world dark vs light and merc player massive conflict.

    • No player looting.

    • No phsyics weight system.

WoW with lightsabers. I had high hopes for a new Star Wars MMORPG but its looking like they are dropping the ball with this one and going full bore with a WoW cookie cutter mmo. Such limited classes and races makes it boring. Space is a big part of a movie about space its called "STAR" Wars for Yodas sake.

"I'm sorry but your mmo has been diagnosed with EA and only has X number of days to live."

I see him more as the kind of guy who has already ignorantly decided to hate this game, and nothing will change his mind.

Yea, tell that to the suckers that bought a life-time to STO.  Along with the mass exodus of players leaving the games within the genre over the last 5 years.  See what hope gets ya without knowing what your subscribing to.

Why the fear to open-up the hood and let me look at the engine.  Whats there to be embarrased about?  A rhetorical question, but honest one none-the-less.

I get your point, but there is hard proof that Jesus existed, just as there is proof that Ceasar existed.  So not a good example.

Wow, that rant was so vague you could post that for any game thats in development right now, but for whatever reason you decided to crusade againt SWTOR. Fact of the matter is they will eventually talk indepth about their game or when beta finally gets underway I will go to the many beta leak sites around the net and get my info there to decide if this game is worth the money just like I did with STO or any other game I'm interested in playing. Hope has nothing to do with it. Being patient and knowing the truth will eventually reveal itself is more my style.

Old star wars is years back. Get with the times. It is not the Star Wars some of us all grew up with. It is different now whether anyone likes it or not. Deal with it like the rest of us.

There is TONS of evidence of this, and we're not talking about the bible.  The Romans have records of his life, his trial, and his execution.

Woah what?  There is historical proof (outside the Bible) that Jesus existed.  Whether or not one believes that man to be the Son of  God or have risen from the dead or done the miracles attributed to him is another matter.  But the fact that Jesus existed is not debatable.

That is not a good list because mainly because you can only start an mmo with so much stuff as we have read its not going to be much of a sand box which I don't like but its got to be better than that pos system SWG NGE thing they put out. Maybe down the road they will put stuff in but crying wolf way before release is a waste of time frankly, I can find plenty to complain about after release as before release a company will do what they do regardless, or do I have to mention cryptic and star trek online... lol I just want some wookie toons to play in TOR that is all!

Not sure about the Jedi issue, however In my research I was never able to find a verifiable source that confirmed that Lucas decreed Wookiees couldn't be Jedi. Then again, this might not stop them from putting them into the game even if it were true. As I mentioned in our SW:TOR hands on, Bioware's Lead Writer Daniel Erickson answered that Chiss aren't actually prevalent in the galaxy when I asked how they are making sense of an extremely isolationist species such as the Chiss being playable in SW:TOR. This could imply that races could be faction or even class specific.

Stay tuned for our full interview next week.

Well I am very surprised and happy that basic might not be an issue. I would love to see Wookiee players in the game.

As for the Jedi thing the people at Dark Horse comics were told by George Lucas that there would be no more Wookiee Jedi. Now people can not trust him if they want, but I don't really see a reason for him to lie. In addition I believe other groups have heard it from the Lucas consortium from time to time.

Lucas cares more about money than what he calls "canon". If he thinks he'll get more customers by giving playable Wookie Jedi, the game will have them.
