So mourning should just cross-reference between here and there and ban you for bad conduct (me too if I was registered or remembered my login info).

Counter-trolling aside, this thred isn't about Mourning. It's about MMORPG.com's decision to remove Mourning from their site. Admin asked for feedback, and I gave it. My reasons are to the point and valid indeed. You calling it BS doesen't make it so, and you failing to point out why it's BS only indicates that my post is indeed sound reasoning. This case is about MMORPG.com and me and you as their readers. Mourning doesen't come into it at all for what I'm concerned. I'm simply pointing out why removing any game from their site is bad for their reputation and credability. Would you care to point out what relevance Mournings economy have in this matter? I did point out what relevance MMORPG.com's and perhaps Admins personal economy have in this matter. I also pointed out why MMORPGs in general are present on MMORPG.com's site in this scenario. They would not have any media power otherwise, and as such be worthless to the big boys.
I also pointed out that I don't particulary subscribe to this point of view, but then again tat doesen't make it any less probable. And it IS probable indeed. That probability is the reason why we have what is called press ethics, and why MMORPG.com should incorporate press ethics into their company policy.
If you read this Admin, please read my original post.
Oh and I find it extremely interesting that I have been a member on these forums a year and made dozens of posts yet my # of posts never increases. Even in my posts to this thread my # hasnt increased.

Ok, I still disagree with removing Mourning from the listing as per my previous post. However, given some of the way they treated their fans and some of the flat out lies on their website (which I went to thanks to this action of removing it). I have to say I would never play this game. I still think it should be in the game list though.
On that note since I can not get my full listing from here I was wondering if anyone knew of another site like this that I could use as a cross reference tool. Thus I could check the one against the other and do things the hard way of going against multiple lists.
It's hard not to believe some of Mourning's concerns about the negative fanbase here after reading this thread.
mmorpg.com has 181k total users(not all active) worldwide. So its audience is hardly the end all be all of the mmorpg industry. Rather a small, tiny fraction of it as tens of millions of people play mmo's across the world. Losing mmorpg.com won't do much to Mourning. However I think the precedent of mmorpg.com not covering all mmorpg games(just the ones they like), is the more damaging one. I myself visit the site often so I can get a comprehensive list of all the mmorpgs in development.
Look at the poll at the mourning site. Over half of there users come from this site.
The game has close to 40,000 registered users.
26 have said they came to the game from mmorpg.com.
That hardly says anything.
There's already a poll up on their forums asking where they heard of Mourning.
Needless to say, MMORPG.com is currently at 51.52%

And I'm sure intelligent people won't look at that and think "Wow, that's going to be a really skewed poll."
You see, I still respect this site somewhat, because even though this site had a rogue staffmember throw up a poll similar to this in the pub, the thread was quickly locked. Sounds familiar.....
So many threads Ive seen about everything from IP posting to out right Rude attitude, temper tantrums, etc. Like children with a power complex, coming from the staff at mournings website.
Enough to be seen from a few OTHER sites then this one. Most don't have a forum for the game either.
Whether we'd like to admit it or not, in this business Word of mouth will kill your product.
One of the things that makes this site so good is the feed back. Be that feedback negative or positive.
Sometimes its good to know exactly what folks really think about the efforts you've placed into your product.
A sort of window to be able to read exactly what people are saying about your product behind your back. Raw as it maybe, the data is priceless.
When you read of the things from mourning here on this website, you got a broad perspective. It wasn't a positive one by far.
If one or two came here to MMORPG.COM and expressed their mistreatments then I'm sure most would have over looked it. But there was quite a bit of these types of posts Then it got to be almost every post Then mournings mods started regulating their censorship here.
Well they just bit the hand that feeds em.
Not everyone that posts here or roams here is a kid looking for the next game. some are established people in the gaming community, reviewers, freelance reporters, Dev's, etc.
The bar raising effect this and other site similar to this one do for gaming is breath taking.
A few feel that This may be censorship. I say to those people, look at the content here on this site. How many hits a day do you think this site gets. MMORPG.COM is the biggest of its kind on the net. It has more features then any site on the net for gamers period, not to mention for Dev's and other professionals in the business.
you don't get that way by kicking titles off your list. But they did and the people applaud them.
Also give them props for coming to the people right off with the news, they told us the info straight.
And i thank you MMORPG.COM for the poles and the explanation. No worries MMORPG staff we applaud your decision.

Maybe you should have brought that up to the forum tech support before this thread and that post. Then you wouldn't look like an ignorant flamer.
We locked that thread because we did not want to have to watch another topic about this - there are already two of them. Note that you can still vote on a poll in a locked topic...you just cannot post in it.
As for this thread....STAY ON TOPIC...please. This is not the place to ask about your post count, insult another member, etc. Please keep your posts directed at your opinions on our decision in question.

Once again.... Sounds familiar. And that's great. Run your community as you see fit. I run my own forum and I have to make judgement calls myself. My main problem was that some hypocritical people were calling the Mourning devs and forum mods Nazis here and yet contradicting themselves here by applauding censoring.
Sigh once again I've let myself get pissed off, guess I wasnt ready yet to be calm about this.

That is my whole postition in a nutshell.
For the sake of argument let's say you guys are right.
Mourning is a scam a ripoff created on photoshop.
Mourning is vaporware that will never come to market.
Mourning is run by game devs that are pricks, and have no idea how they should kiss ass properly.
WHY DO YOU CARE?
You have all made your position clear over and over, you don't like the game concept, you don't like the game devs, you don't like them censoring your posts, you don't believe the game is real, and you don't believe it will ever release. Oh and most important ALL of you have canceled your pre-orders or never had one in the first place.
SO AGAIN WHY DO YOU CARE?
You have nothing to lose, so why all this effort to undermine the game and try and get it pulled?
If its not real as you claim why the big push to get it canceled?
What does it hurt you if I choose to believe in something?
What does it hurt you if I choose to risk my money? invest my time?
WHY DO YOU CARE?
Who are you to judge for me, to judge for any of us that believe in the game and choose to stand behind it?
If you have nothing to lose, it really only leaves one option for all of your behaviour, and that is that you have something to gain.

What is in it for any of you to batter this game until it fails?
What is in it for any gamer anytime any game fails?
I sit here and try and analyze it, figure it out, make it make sense, and it just doesnt make sense.
Unless you are a competitor trying to take down the competition, or part of an organized extortion ring, there just is not any reason WHY YOU WOULD CARE.

I have a question about this move, will morning representitves and administrators still be able to patrol the fourms? Or will the associated party be banned from the site? Just wondering if Admin can fill us in on this topic.

"Sigh" this site is obviously a baised, and as far as the poll, that's like putting a "Do you like George Bush" poll on the RNC's website, get real, it means nothing. The only thing that means anything is a website lets people get away with slander and lies, and does nothing AT ALL to stop it. When people come to their defense they ban or delete their thread? That sounds like censorship to me. We all know you cant slander the name of a person or company unless you got the facts to back it up, and anyone supporting the slanderers would be subject to the same lawsuit. This situation is the same as a tabloid printing lies about a person, until that person sues them, then they retract the statement. If i was the owner of the game and company i would sue your site and the people behind the post, they are trying to harm your financial well being through slander and lies. And being we live in America i am sure they'd win, or at least bankrupt the site through the lawsuit.
Of course, we allow anyone to use our forums (not sure what you meant by "patrol"). As I have said many times - we don't believe in extreme moderation at MMORPG.com. As long as people can post without attacking other people or violating our rules we allow them to speak their mind. If people want to bash MMORPG.com and criticize us we are fine with that too.
You will find countless threads on these boards where our members are mad at us and accuse us of various things. As you will notice we don't delete or lock these topics or ban the users that are angry at us - we don't feel that is the right thing to do.
As I see it we will never be able to make everyone happy. We have to make the decisions that we feel are the best for the site and the majority of the community.

Last time I check censorship is the use of state or group power to control freedom of expression. In a modern sense censorship consists of any attempt to suppress information, points of view, or method of expression such as art, or profanity. Not what mmorpg.com is doing. The reason people are angered is that the mourning mods DEMANDED bugmans info without court order. They then prociding in threating users when they know damn well that Romanian laws dont hold in US court. For the last time, a case like this has been in court, and was thrown out. You cannot charage people on the net with "libel" because the whole internet would need to be sued for it- it is everywhere. One can post 2 posts of misinformation- its not a crime. And if your so content of making it a crime, I formally announce that I will be suing the users of mouring board for saying that "MMORPG sleeps with IGN!".

A company purposely mistreats customers or potential customers and you cant understand how they would care? You act ignorant about why they would talk about it and warn their friends and peers of this? What a great world we would live in if no one cared of misleading and scandalous companies. It is human nature. What I dont understand is why that company would care so much about individual opinions to make themselves look ridiculous. You are only validating those opinions in the objective viewers mind. As a company under public scrutiny it would be best to take the bad with the good and act as politically correct as possible. Not have petty flamewars with individuals. There is no way for the individual to lose as all he is representing is an opinion not a company.

God help me I read this entire thread. So I will make this brief.
Regardless of the reason, removing any real MMORPG from MMORPG.com, lessens the value of the site. No, I wont leave the site forever because it doesnt include everything, but if I find another one that does, I will in a second.
The entire reason I come here is because the list contains almost every single MMORPG out there. Why hurt yourself? Because it is too much trouble to remove the forums and leave the game up? Hardly.
P.S. Is there another site out there that has a listing as extensive as MMORPG.com?
