I think most of your answers will be answered without asking this question. Just take a look at the support forum, or the general discussion board at the MO main site. They are overrun with complaints and problems.
I think some people will still enjoy it despite that, but if you had issues during the beta, it's not improved a whole lot in terms of stability or performance. Right now people are happy the server stays up for four or five hours at a time, and SV has admitted they don't work on the weekend and are relying on an automatic reboot script.
I would wait few months, till most issues are fixed.
The best thing for me in MO is you can jump in at every state. Doesnt matter how long the game already released.
There is no huge / insane dumb grind gap between you and a vet like in some other game

The release absolutely SHOCKED me. They pulled it off and very smoothly. Then, came the patches. Patch #1 caused more annoying stability and more frequent downtime (although the length of downtime eventually decreased). Then, they patched in some new stuff and bug fixes that caused more bugs (the "sticky sword" bug where your arm gets stuck halfway through a swing sometimes). So, They fixed half the stuff and broke another half.
All I can say is it's really fun to play right now still...and they are definitely working on it. They just go about ....very odd ways.....sometimes. All in all I'd say it's certainly playable, just very inconvinient to do so right now.

The game has its bugs, but it's still a lot of fun to play.
Server stability has not been good, though like FunkmastaD said, it's been great since the patch yesterday. Hopefully, it keeps getting better.
Overall, the game has all the core elements it was supposed to have at launch. If you played beta, much of the game will still feel familiar, though there are probably a lot more players in game now than you might remember.
Overall, it's a good, very enjoyable game that is improving with each patch. If the bugs are a concern, it might be best to wait a few weeks and keep reading to forums to see when it gets to the point you'd like it to be at.

Hey, I'm not sure at what point you left the beta, but here's the rundown on what's changed recently:
Desync is squashed
FPS performance has markedly improved
auto-gathering, auto-stacking implemented
thieving temporarily out
many more mobs/mounts, additions/changes to gameworld (no Tindrem yet)
Quite a few of the annoying bugs are out (replaced by new annoying bugs)
Server's shaky as hell now (much better since yesterday's patch, but could definately use improvement)
Dynamic Weather (And day/night cycle, if you left a long time ago)
Friend.. here is the best advice you will ever get on this issue:
You already bought the game. Your gametime has been autostarted at launch (June 9th). You gain nothing by not loading the game up and trying it yourself so you may as well see if you can patch the game up and login.
If you wait, your free month will expire before you ever even login and you will be forced to pay again to try it. Also, be aware that your account has been set to AUTO-RENEW by the company as a default whether or not you picked a subscription method. Even if you haven't played since beta.. you will be charged the subscription fee 30 days from launch and every 30 subsequent days.
Again.. I advise you to at least use the time remaining on your included 30 days to try and patch the game and look around. Even if you don't do that you should at least visit the account site and make sure that the AUTO-RENEW is set to your preference.

This is an honest description of the game from one seams to play it.
Thieving will be added soon thou with some added feats for thieves.
It's honest based on his experience, and yours perhaps. Many others don't share these experiences, so take them all with a grain of salt.
He only stated facts, how can others not share this experience?
Server stability is still the main issue, crashing a lot each day.
Those are facts he has stated not opinions. You really need to stop commenting on the game as if you're actually playing it when your not.
I'll put it this way. Yesterday I was exploring a harbor cave outside of a city called Toxai. It was dark, I had to pull out a torch to to see where I was going. It was the first time in a long time that I actually felt nervous as I was slowly moving further into the darkness. I didn't know if a player or some crazy beast would attack or kill me as I explored. I actually found a pretty large spiralling staircase that had nothing at the top, but just the uncertainty of what I'd find gave me a thrill that no MMO ever has. That alone is worth so much to me, the immersion can be unbelievable.
I'll say this. There are some bugs throughout the game that are annoying, but none that I have experienced have been game-breaking. The UI is very rough, Starvault claims that they are completely rebuilding it in the future. The combat system at first look seems very cumbersome. Slow swing speeds, slow movement speeds, as well as some slight delay because of playing a EU server from the US all make things a bit clunky. The animations really need a lot of work, but over time.. I hope this becomes better. The AI needs a ton of work. If you've ever played Darkfall, the AI in that game is so much better.. Starvault has a long way to go and looking at what DF did could only help them, as they are both FPS MMO's. Harvesting and crafting systems are very unique and complex. I have a two year old computer and I can run the game moderately well, though on Vista. Graphics are nice in some areas, not so nice in others. There is a lack of PvE mobs, I think this is just because we are so used to every inch of the map being packed by something we can kill in most MMO's. This is more of a world and requires some exploration. Ultimately, the game has a ton of promise and a ton of upcoming features that will be implemented as soon as the client is completely stable and most of the bugs are fixed. Speaking of stability. The server has been crashing less and less since release. you can play for hours without it dropping. Even if it does, it usually comes back up very quickly.
If you already ordered it, give it a try. If not, wait a few weeks/months. I think you'd still enjoy yourself in it's current state if you understand that it's just a matter of fixing some things that are very fixable and if you are patient.
Very nice post. I think you captured what makes the game fun right now, its current problems, and what the game is likely to become, very well.
I know what you mean with the feeling of uncertainty, and the excitement you feel while exploring. It's been a LONG time since I've felt any of that in an MMO.
In my opinion, once most of the bugs are fixed, the future of this game holds a ton of promise, given the systems they have planned. Even though it'll take some time to get more systems in, I really don't mind, because the core of the game that's there right now is really fun.

A support forum has never been a good indicator of how a game is. Any game I can think of has a support forum full of people who either can't play the game or has other serious issues with it including the polished WoW.
I think if you re-read that you will find quite a few opinions mixed in there...
Besides.. like I said. He said he bought the game. This means that SV has started his subscription. He might as well login and look around for himself before his time runs out and he is charged again. Playing the game himself is worth 1000 posts from other folks describing thier likes/dislikes. Different story if he hadn't bought the game and couldn't look for himself.

There are no opinions in funkmasta's post. Those are all factual.
Really? I count 4 myself...

Jadan, if you alrdy bought the game, there alto fo chance your game time has started, so just dl ti and play it.
The game is ok, just some bug that piss me off and unbalance of weapon/magic, thats about it. I'm solo so of course, its more harsh and painful in pvp.
The server got some bugs and the server crash a few times a day, but it's been improved lots just the last 2 weeks. The more important is that it is fun and entertaining. One problem I see now is that it's almost to many people loged in at the server at peek time. Can't almost get to the bank, people stand everywhere.
You they are facts, funkmastaD is right at all 8 points.
Desync is not squashed by any stretch of the imagination. What do you call mobs or players not being in the spot they should be? My entire guild is experiencing the same things. Call it what you want, but much of the time the game world is not in synch with what the game world show.
FPS; can't speak for beta to now, but it sucks and needs a lot of optimization.
Auto Stacking implemented - Yes, but doesn't work most of the time. I'll post a screenshot if you really need proof.
Server is up, down, up, down, ad nauseum. It's rediculous.
I happen to like what I've come to learn of the game and supporting it for now, but I'd never recommend this game; only as a beta game to pay for if you want to support the effort. The future of MO is a fat huge question mark that I hope has a happy ending.

um what game are you playing ? the friggin game crashes every 5minutes for me or sooner if i use any abilities ... looks a lot better, but in no way well i play it past the first month ><
Only the Dead See the End of War
Yep, and the fanbois will kill this game by making believe it's other than what it is.

Do you know what desync is? If you can draw you weapon, it's not desync; if you can move a single stack around in your inventory isn't not desync. If it takes a few seconds to do these things, it's still not desync.
No offense, but if you weren't around for the beta you don't know the bug we're all talking about. And I've never had the problem where mobs "weren't where they were supposed to be"... are you sure you weren't just experienced the bugged-out hitboxes?
Why are you attacking an innocuous list of changes? It's not like my list is recomending the game by any means, simply listing the things that have changed... if you weren't in the beta, you have no way of determing it's truth or falsehood.
PS: According to slapshot the servers may or may not have been stable, it's just my opinion that they were shaky. SO you might wanna argue with him about it.
Edit: For the love of god please stop saying fanbois.
LOL!!!!

Look at the guy who got himself banned for violating the NDA, after SV wouldn't "do what he said", telling people how the game is. You're a trip!
Hey, I have an idea. Check out WoW's support forum, it's overrun with complaints and problems. Here, I'll link it for you:http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=11110&sid=1 No wai!! A video game with a support forum full of people in need of support.
Man, If I checked the support forum for every game I ever had an interest in playing, I'd never play a video game.
Here we go, MW2: http://www.infinityward.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=278314 Well, by looking at that is obvious I should have never baught the damn game. It's all kinds of busted.
How about Aion? http://forums.aiononline.com/na/forumdisplay.php?f=55 They even have a section for you to report bugs! Who woulda thunk it!
Don't listen to this guy. He hasn't even touched the game since early beta. Not that he can, he was banned. Banned months ago, and yet he's still trying to talk people out of playing.
If you like UO, or the idea of a game like UO, there's a good chance that you'll enjoy MO. If you need polish then just give the game a month or so and then check it out. Devs are working hard getting the server stable, and bugs fixed.
Personally I think the games great fun. Been waiting a very long time for someone to make a game like this, and I'm not disapointed. Only game of it's kind.
