I like the idea of true aiming and emphasis on combat.

However while the graphics are great in one sense im not a big fan of the style.  I hate azn graphic styles like what i saw in aion

and the girls in super short skirts and super large swords etc.

But what im wondering is how is this game on grinding and gear? Im a hardcore player in terms of skill but casual in terms of time, playing 15 hours a week.  Some of the azn mmos i know that would mean a year b4 youd hit max level.  HOw is the grind in tera?  both for gear and for xp.

I'm not in beta but from the beta reports I've read combat is very fun and kind of a cross between traditional MMO combat and a game like Dynasty Warrior, so if you think you would enjoy that the combat should be fun for you (this reducing the "grind" feel).

The game is quest driven for advancement and the Western development team is still tweaking the pacing of gaining XP/levels so at this time the public doesn't really know if it's going to be really "grindy".

    I'm not sure about gear.

Well for a casual gamer like yourself, probably 8months plus?

For more serious gamers probably 5months, or less. and we dont know what they will be putting the max level to yet, due to still is in beta in Korea.

Also in regards to your not the fan of style.. most mmo's are from asian creations, few are non. And those few are based on asian games.. so sorry to burst your bubble thats the best style around.

enjoying style is a matter of opinion.   For example i prefer the graphics of warhammer to Aion.

Can you level through pvp? that would be a major selling point for me.
