Diablo III is NOT F2P because you have to pay to use battenet (Multiplayer) it's similar to the Xbox Live subscription though. As in you pay the fee and you have like a year or so....i don't know how much it costs though...but this will also cover the cost of playing Starcraft II online if you also were planning on buying that as well.
GW2 IS an MMO and is F2P, you just have to buy the game just like last time...knowing that, theres probably going to be a lot of expansion sets like 3-4 again. Just letting you know that right now.
I wouldnt be so sure about D3. I heard blizzard is redoing Bnet. Which is cool and all, however I wouldn't put it past them to charge for D2. or atleast adopt a more F2P method as oppose to a B2P.
GW2 should actually be classified as an MMO. It is actually open world and all. If you read a little about it, it is no longer instanced zones. In addtion it explains how random people not grouped can attack the same mob. This would mean that zones themselves aren't instanced. So GW2 is an MMO as far as I can see, atleast IMO. GW2 is B2P with additional content exclusive for purchase. They claim they are a B2P game with purchasable enhancements, which differs from a F2P.
So Both are B2P for now, however I don't trust blizzard. I am going to give them my money wearily. (I'm watching you Blizzard)

Thumbs up. You said what I was trying to in fewer words and actually formed sentences.

There is no fee to play on Battle net, there is no fee to play Starcraft 2 on battle net when it is released in a few weeks.
In some region (poor regions) players can opt to pay 1/2 price for Starcraft 2 which includes 12 months of bnet access then after 12 months then can pay monthly for access or ponny up the other 1/2 and play on bnet for free forever.

No you don't Battlenet Multiplayer will be FREE if you buy the game. In some countries there will be an option to subscribe for limited playtime instead of buying the game, and they may add some features later on that requires a subscription but just playing multi-player will be FREE,
Just to clarify since there is a ton of conflicting statements here:
Diablo 3: If you buy the game, multi-player is free. Battlenet will not charge you just to use multi-player, they may charge later for some additional features but just jumping on and playing multi-player wont cost you extra. Diablo 3 is NOT a MMO.
GW2; If you buy the game there is NO MONTHLY CHARGE to play, but they will have extra things you can buy like extra char slots etc. GW2 IS A FULL MMO, with a persistent world and instancing only used in dungeons and player housing.
just wondering if both are going to be games you just buy and play no monthly fees anyone know ??
Since neither GW2 nor Dialblo 3 are MMO's, they both will be buy to play.
**shakes head** and /facepalm
You should take about 30 seconds and actually read any information whatsoever about GW2 on the forum, the site, anywhere... you have no idea what you're saying.

Heck this calls for an old mantra i used many years ago
Diablo... Is.. Not... a... MMORPG.
But no i have a hard time seeing a SP/MP hack n slash game having a monthly fee.
This have been a good conversation

Let's party like it is 1863!
Yeah, I love F2P games man, Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2, and I am playing the beta for my next F2P title - Medal of Honor.
But hey, we also have many other F2P games on other genres, such as Starcraft 2, Dead Space 2, Civilization V, lots of incoming good F2P games!
GW2 is buy once play forever, same as GW1.
Diablo 3 is NOT a MMO, but it does have Multiplayer, same as Diablo 2 really, and you won't have to pay to use multiplayer.
I really wish D3 was a MMO

God damn it!
SO some people here are too lazy to find such a trivial fact so they create a thread....Damn some things really piss me off! I mean they really do
YES THOSE GAMES ARE B2P
And to some other trolls in here :
P2P =/= MMO!!!! damn it....its your fault you got brainwashed by companies to believe so...
I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them
GW2 is a full MMORPG. It will be free of monthly fees but it will be a mmo.
Just to clarify since there is a ton of conflicting statements here:
